National Print Awards introduce Ricoh Women in Industry Award
The National Print Awards have announced the introduction of the Ricoh Women in Industry Award, designed to recognise and celebrate the contributions of women in the Australian print sector.
The award is open to women across a variety of roles within the industry, including apprentices, sales leaders, estimators, production specialists, and business owners. It aims to highlight the contributions and talents of female professionals who are pivotal within the print and visual media sector.
The recipient of the Ricoh Women in Industry Award will be afforded a professional development experience in London, United Kingdom. This includes participation in November 2025's Power of Print Seminar, an exploration of the Ricoh Experience Centre, and networking opportunities with organisations such as Two Sides Global, British Printing Industries Federation, and World Land Trust. Additionally, the awardee will undertake a three-day tour of the UK print industry, designed to acclimate them with industry leaders and future developments in the sector.
The award seeks to elevate the status and advancement of women within the print industry, providing them the chance to engage on international platforms, exchange knowledge, and observe global best practices.
Mark Moro, National Ricoh Graphic Communications Sales Manager at Ricoh Australia, expressed pride in the company's support of the new accolade. "Ricoh is committed to fostering diversity, inclusion, and excellence across the print and visual media sector, and the Ricoh Women in Industry Award is an important initiative to support and celebrate the incredible talent we have," stated Moro. "This award is more than just recognition - it is about providing a pathway for women across our industry to engage with global industry leaders, gain valuable insights, and bring that knowledge back to strengthen their careers in Australia. We are honoured to support this initiative and look forward to seeing the impact it has on the future of our industry."
Kellie Northwood, Chief Executive Officer of the Visual Media Association, also highlighted the importance of the award. "The Ricoh Women in Industry Award is an incredible opportunity for women from all sectors of our industry to expand their knowledge, engage with international leaders, and build strong networks across their roles," commented Northwood. "The ability to learn from global counterparts, explore innovation firsthand, and connect with industry experts is invaluable. We encourage all eligible women - whether working in production, sales, estimating, or leadership - to put themselves forward and take part in this remarkable journey."
Entries have been opened for both the National Print Awards and the Ricoh Women in Industry Award, inviting women across various roles and career stages to participate. This initiative offers a chance for emerging talents and seasoned managers alike to enhance their careers with an international learning experience.
