Nicole Schmitz named state finalist in Telstra Business Awards
The Telstra Business Awards have announced their state finalists for 2024, recognising leadership coach Nicole Schmitz of Nicole Schmitz Leadership Coaching (NSLC) as a standout in the "Accelerating Women" category.
Schmitz's selection comes from a competitive field of over 22,000 nominated businesses. NSLC was chosen by a panel of expert judges for its efforts in promoting women's progress and addressing social inequalities. The awards celebrate seven categories in total: Accelerating Women, Building Communities, Championing Health, Embracing Innovation, Indigenous Excellence, Outstanding Growth, and Promoting Sustainability.
Nicole Schmitz, a former beauty queen turned leadership coach, provides leadership development services specifically to senior corporate executives and entrepreneurs within the technology and finance sectors. Her Leadership X-Factor Mastery Program is designed to enhance soft skills and empower professionals to become influential thought-leaders, thereby driving business growth.
In response to the recognition, Schmitz expressed her gratitude: "I'm honoured to be acknowledged as a state finalist in the Telstra Business Awards. Having travelled to 45 countries, immersing myself in different cultures, and having a multicultural background myself, it has been one of my missions to promote quality education, reduce inequality, and stand for women's rights."
Schmitz reflected on her personal journey, adding, "My journey towards confident leadership communication began early in life when I went from being as quiet as a mouse to speaking on a live global stage of 100,000+ people. I wanted to empower people to find their voice, reach their full potential, and break through communication barriers. I have since taken this experience to boardrooms and top CEOs in Australia and the world. It is my goal to help 20,000 people across the globe find their leadership x-factor by 2030."
