Optic Security Group promotes Staff for Operational Management Across Australia

Wed, 6th Sep 2023

In a significant move that signals a strategic reshaping of its management framework, Optic Security Group has recently revealed the advancement of two seasoned professionals within its ranks. The group affirmed the appointment of Daniel Allchorne as the Regional Manager overseeing Northern Territory and Western Australia, alongside Robert Bates, who steps into a pivotal role as the Regional Manager for Victoria, Queensland, and New South Wales Commercial.

With a tenure that spans over a decade and a half, Dan Allchorne first became a part of the Optic family in 2007. Originally holding the position of a Darwin-based Operations Manager, Allchorne emerged as a linchpin in the successful delivery of a slew of expansive security integration projects sprinkled across Australia's Top End. His ascension to a more central role is seen as a natural progression, given his remarkable expertise and long-standing commitment to the company.

On the occasion, Optic Security Group's CEO, Ferzad Bharucha, remarks, “I’m extremely pleased about Dan taking up the lead role in leading Optic’s operations across WA and NT.” He further appreciated Allchorne's dedication, asserting, “He is an amazing asset to the Group and to our customers, and his commitment is second to none.”

Joining him at the helm is Rob Bates, who initially stepped into the Optic realm as a Project Manager in July 2021. With a solid background marked by an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Bates brings to the table a wealth of experience in the realms of project management and service delivery. This extensive background not only in the security industry but also as an electrician, places him in a unique position to spearhead Optic's ventures in VIC, QLD, and NSW (Commercial). Expressing eagerness about his new role, Bates says, “I'm proud of the appointment, and I look forward to developing Optic Security Groups’ presence on the Australian east coast.”

CEO Ferzad Bharucha further highlighted the significance of promoting talent from within, noting, “Ultimately, it’s a real pleasure to be able to reward and promote talent within the organisation. Our ability to promote from within our own ranks is a testament to our depth of capability and commitment.”

This management reshuffle comes at a time when Optic Security Group is embarking on an ambitious transformation programme, aiming to bolster its position in a dynamic industry teeming with evolving risks and technological disruptions. “Dan and Rob step into their new roles during an exciting time at Optic as we undertake a wide-ranging transformation programme to position the Group to deliver better than ever for our customers who face evolving security risks and the need to navigate emerging technologies and a range of disruptors,” Bharucha adds.

Under the diligent leadership of Allchorne and Bates, the company envisages a future where they can adeptly steer their clientele through the complex maze of security challenges, helping organisations to minimise risks and attain their desired objectives seamlessly.
