Orro & SentinelOne launch XDR service for Australian SMEs

Mon, 29th Jan 2024

Orro, Australia's premier secure network and digital infrastructure provider, is boosting its cybersecurity portfolio for small and medium-sized businesses by adding an Extended Detection and Response (XDR) service. This new platform is powered by SentinelOne, an international leader in AI-powered security. The service aims to heighten cyber resilience and facilitate regulatory compliance among SMEs, who are often more susceptible to cyber threats than larger enterprises.

The Orro XDR service offers constant monitoring of end-user devices to detect and respond to cyber threats like ransomware and malware. Orro will provide SMEs with access to SentinelOne's Singularity XDR, a market-leading, autonomous AI security solution, in combination with Orro's Security Operations Centre (SOC) services, such as around-the-clock monitoring, incident response, and alert handling. Through this integrated approach, organisations can achieve end-to-end visibility, bolstering protection and response across the enterprise.

The collaboration between SentinelOne and Orro is shaped to meet the six shields approach to national cyber strategy as laid out by the Albanese government: Education, Safe Technology, Threat Sharing & Blocking, Protection of Critical Infrastructure, Sovereign Capability & Skills, and Coordinated Global Action.

SentinelOne XDR is a cohesive solution that amalgamates endpoint protection, cloud security, identity threat detection and response, and data ingestion with analytics, all on a single console using a universally compatible backend and the industry's most efficient security data lake. It is also the first XDR solution in the local market to completely localise and ensure data sovereignty. Furthermore, the solution has achieved IRAP accreditation and has an entirely isolated cluster at a Sydney AWS Point-of-Presence (PoP), air-gapped from other SentinelOne locations. This guarantees no data leaves Australia, aligning with the country's cyber security regulations and addressing national cybersecurity concerns.

Daniel Greengarten, CEO at Orro, stated that "as we continue to see escalating cyber threats, having a sovereign capability to protect our customers' organisations is significant. Through our partnership with SentinelOne, our XDR solution responds directly to the needs of small and medium businesses, which are more exposed to cyber risks than ever, while addressing key national cybersecurity concerns as outlined in the recent ASD Cyber Threat Report."

According to Jason Duerden, Regional A/NZ Director from SentinelOne, "as cyberattacks become more widespread and complex, it is imperative for organisations to have access to advanced, intelligence-based solutions that enable them to protect their systems and information. Singularity XDR is a unique solution that organisations of all sizes can use to detect, respond to and remediate threats in a real-time, compliant way. We are pleased to be teaming with Orro to deliver it to small and medium-sized businesses across Australia and help them secure tomorrow, today."
