Paul Henaghan joins Cohesity as new ANZ Managing Director
Cohesity has announced the appointment of Paul Henaghan as the new Managing Director for its Australian and New Zealand operations. Henaghan brings substantial experience to the role, having achieved revenue growth, market share expansion, profitability, and operational excellence in various organisations, including Workday and Dell EMC.
Kit Beall, Global Chief Revenue Officer for Cohesity, expressed his excitement about Henaghan's appointment. "We are excited to welcome Paul, a proven industry leader and innovator, to lead Cohesity in Australia and New Zealand. ANZ is an important market for adopting technologies that support productivity and enhance competitive advantage, but, like organisations all over the world, faces unprecedented challenges around cyber resilience. With the addition of Paul's leadership, more customers and partners in the ANZ market will benefit from Cohesity's industry-leading cyber resilience solutions," Beall said.
Henaghan's primary responsibilities will include driving strategic initiatives and ensuring that the company continues to deliver exceptional value to both its customers and partners. He is expected to lead the Australian and New Zealand operations, focusing on expanding Cohesity's capabilities to help its customers develop and maintain cyber resilience amid increasing data breaches and cyber threats.
Commenting on his new role, Henaghan noted the crucial need for effective cyber resilience strategies. "In a time when cyber resilience is paramount for all organisations, I am exceptionally proud to lead the talented team at Cohesity as we work to safeguard Australian and New Zealand organisations from the increasing threat of cyberattacks. I am particularly interested in working with our customers and partners to ensure they can benefit from Cohesity's industry-leading artificial intelligence-powered solutions. As The Cohesity Global Cyber Resilience Report 2024 showed, we as an industry must do more to help our customers avoid falling victim to a ransomware attack and ensure they have all the tools available to improve cyber resilience," Henaghan stated.
Henaghan also highlighted findings from recent research commissioned by Cohesity, which revealed that many organisations, including those in Australia, have an inflated perception of their cyber resilience capabilities. This overconfidence can lead to significant business continuity disruptions and, in some cases, ransom payments.
With a track record of enabling high-performing teams to achieve measurable business outcomes, Henaghan's leadership is anticipated to help Cohesity address the cyber resilience gaps identified in their research. His background suggests he is well-equipped to guide the team through these challenges and towards greater success in the ANZ market.
Henaghan's immediate focus will be on enhancing customer and partner engagement and ensuring that Cohesity's solutions effectively address the evolving cybersecurity landscape in the region. His appointment aligns with Cohesity's broader strategy of strengthening its leadership team to drive growth and innovation in its key markets.
