Pharmx portal launch reduces supply chain time to one day

Yesterday

Pharmx has unveiled a new supplier portal designed to compress the supply chain integration time from twelve weeks to just one day.

This new self-service tool, based on the Pharmx Gateway platform, facilitates almost immediate trade integration, providing features such as real-time analytics, direct pharmacy connections, and marketing support. It is set to benefit over 7,000 pharmacies in Australia, enabling them to trade swiftly with major brands including Pfizer, Revlon, and CH2.

The Pharmx Gateway is integrated directly with pharmacy point-of-sale and order management systems, ensuring seamless stock ordering, invoicing, and real-time data interchange.

"The launch of the Supplier Portal represents a step-change in how suppliers engage with the pharmacy channel," noted Pharmx Chief Executive Officer, Tom Culver. "By reducing friction and time-to-trade, we are not only delivering value to suppliers but also increasing the diversity of suppliers to the Pharmacy market - enhancing inventory access and driving greater efficiency for pharmacies."

Alongside onboarding and integration efficiencies, the portal brings various business tools designed to support supplier expansion and interaction. These include product catalogue and order management functionalities, real-time performance analytics, direct connection capabilities with pharmacies, and marketing support.

The platform aligns with Pharmx's strategic goals of increasing supplier participation by lowering entry barriers and improving the supplier experience. The aim is to boost account growth, improve engagement, and enhance revenue via increased trading volumes and targeted network expansion.

The gradual roll-out of the portal will first reach existing suppliers within Pharmx's network, which features prominent names like Pfizer, Revlon, and CH2. With increased supplier participation and product listings, Pharmx now provides access to over 120,000 stock keeping units (SKUs) across various categories, such as pharmaceuticals, beauty, wellness, food, and technology.

This new portal marks the first product release under Pharmx's rebranded identity, underscoring the company's focus on progress and convenience. While it is too early to precisely determine the financial impact of this launch, it is anticipated to positively influence supplier acquisition, platform engagement, and trading volume over time.
