Evergreen's Pine Services Group has acquired Australian ERP consultancy Stratus Consulting Group in its first Australian acquisition.

Founded in 2017, Stratus supports mid-market organisations across Australia with ERP consulting and implementation. It says it has delivered more than 700 ERP implementations across MYOB Acumatica, Wiise, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Epicor.

The deal extends Pine's reach beyond the United States, Ireland, Scotland and England, and makes Stratus its 17th acquisition.

Australia move

The transaction gives Pine an established presence in Australia through a fully onshore team of more than 55 specialists. Stratus also provides system selection, onboarding, development, integration and ongoing optimisation services.

Its HubSpot work adds a CRM capability to Pine's portfolio, and the company is also described as a HubSpot Platinum Partner.

Lela Day, Chief People Officer of Pine Services Group, outlined the significance of the acquisition for the broader group.

"This is a momentous milestone for Evergreen and Pine, taking our team from an international group to a global services firm with an incredible executive leadership team and deep bench of business and technical talent. Stratus has built an exceptional reputation in the Australian mid-market across MYOB Acumatica, Microsoft, and Epicor, and we're excited to build on their early momentum in HubSpot and expand our reach and relevance to businesses worldwide," said Lela Day, Chief People Officer, Pine Services Group.

Portfolio growth

Pine will continue to support Stratus' existing team, culture and delivery model. The acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy of owning and backing software and services businesses while leaving day-to-day operations to local leaders.

For Stratus, the deal connects the Australian consultancy to a broader international network of operating businesses and leaders. Shared expertise across Pine's portfolio will also be available to Stratus and its customers.

Mark Belkin, Chief Executive Officer of Stratus Consulting Group, said the agreement supports the company's growth plans.

"We are incredibly excited to announce our growth strategy with Pine Services Group and become part of Evergreen's Pine portfolio. This acquisition brings amazing opportunities for both our team and our customers. Pine's unique approach means they are committed to preserving the legacy, culture, and independence that make Stratus Consulting Group special. With their strategic support and investment, we will have the stability to accelerate our growth and elevate our customer experience," said Mark Belkin, Chief Executive Officer, Stratus Consulting Group.

The move highlights continued interest from overseas buyers in Australian business software services providers, particularly those serving mid-market customers moving from older systems to cloud-based platforms.

Stratus has built its business around those migrations, providing consulting and implementation services for companies replacing legacy software with newer ERP systems. Its customer base includes organisations seeking software selection, deployment, integration and post-launch support from a local delivery team.

With the acquisition complete, Pine now has portfolio operations in five countries. Stratus adds more than 55 specialists and a track record of over 700 ERP implementations across Australia.
