Platform9 launches partner program to aid VMware migration

Platform9 has launched its Partner Program designed to assist VMware customers in transitioning to their Private Cloud Director using existing infrastructure.

The initiative aims to support various channel partners, such as value-added resellers, systems integrators, and managed service providers. Additionally, it seeks to involve technology vendors by utilising customers' current investments in their storage and server infrastructure.

An example of the program's impact can be seen with iShift, a partner currently facilitating the migration of 40,000 VMware virtual machines (VMs) to Platform9's Private Cloud Director. This transition is claimed to be accomplished at one-tenth the cost of conventional migration methods for a Fortune 500 company.
