In a bid to encourage online learners to stay home and upskill during COVID-19 lockdowns, Pluralsight, the enterprise technology skills platform, has made its 7,000+ courses available for free for the month of April.

The offer is available for individual users not currently subscribed to the platform. In addition, Pluralsight is offering extended trials to businesses, nonprofits and education institutions for teams and teachers.

With a key focus on enterprise technology skills, Pluralsight offers a platform that delivers a unified, end-to-end learning experience for businesses across the globe.

The platform runs as a subscription service, offering companies the means to better understand technology and innovation through a library of more than 7,000 courses focused on technology skill development.

All courses are taught by experts in the field. In order to be chosen for the position, experts go through a vetting process to ensure they are of high calibre.

According to Pluralsight, course experts include authors of definitive books about software development, security, cloud computing and more; innovators in the advancement of programming languages such as Java; and employees of various large, global technology vendors.

Courses are focused on core aspects of technology, including software development in many programming languages, cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and more.

They are designed to help businesses and individuals benchmark expertise across roles, speed up release cycles and build reliable, secure products.

Pluralsight members have on-demand access to a digital ecosystem of learning tools, including Pluralsight IQ, directed learning paths, expert-authored courses, interactive labs, and analytics.

At present many around the world are staying home due to COVID-19 related nationwide lockdowns. Pluralsight CEO Aaron Skonnard says this is an ideal time to develop useful skills around various areas of technology.

He says, "In these uncertain times where government leaders and healthcare experts are asking us to practice social distancing, Pluralsight wants to offer an incentive for technology learners to follow that advice and better themselves.

"With this free offering, we want to encourage technology enthusiasts to stay home and improve their skills. Technology can help us build a better tomorrow when we're able to return to normal, and we want to provide as many people as possible with the opportunity to stay safe, stay home, and skill up.

This offer is valid throughout the month of April and no credit card information or future obligation is required.

Pluralsight was founded in 2004 and has been used by more than 17,700 business accounts including 70% of Fortune 500 companies.
