RebuilderAI's VRIN 3D wins Innovation Award at CES 2024
Thu, 4th Jan 2024

RebuilderAI, a 3D technology startup headed by CEO Junghyeon Kim, has been the recipient of the prestigious Innovation Award in the Mobile Devices & Apps category at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024.

The accolade was received for their mobile-based 3D content creating solution, known as VRIN 3D. CES attendees can experience this solution firsthand at RebuilderAI's booth in Eureka Park.

RebuilderAI is a dynamic startup that specialises in 3D Reconstruction and Generative AI technology. Its promising growth potential has garnered investment from major entities such as Naver D2 Startup Factory, KB Investment, and INOX.

Additionally, RebuilderAI has been selected by major corporations for their incubation programs, including the C-Lab accelerator program by Samsung and CJ O-Ventus, signifying a strategic growth relationship. Building on its innovation, RebuilderAI is set to produce 3D content in Caliverse through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Lotte Caliverse.

The CES 2024 Innovation Award-winning VRIN 3D by RebuilderAI is an AI-driven solution that enables users to quickly generate 3D content by capturing objects and surroundings on their smartphones.

The game-changing aspect of this solution lies in the AI technology that transforms real-world objects into 3D images. Furthermore, the application of this technology to smartphones enhances usability while significantly reducing costs compared to traditional scanning devices. Consequently, VRIN 3D is utilised for a range of applications such as scanning objects, products and parts.

Since its global launch in October 2023, RebuilderAI's VRIN 3D has successfully collaborated with several domestic and international organisations and institutions.

A recent update to the platform has further improved the quality of 3D content and automated the creation process, leading to positive feedback from users. The updated version of VRIN automatically refines the material, mesh, and styling of the 3D model.

This feature ensures consistent quality even without manual post-processing and yields high-quality 3D models. As a result, the user experience has seen considerable improvements.

CEO Jeonghyeon Kim is bullish about the potential of RebuilderAI in a 3D contents market that is witnessing continual expansion. He affirmed that the company plans to lead the 3D reconstruction market through consistent technological development.

Additionally, Kim hinted at future plans, saying, "We are focusing on the solution for the businesses at the moment, however, we will expand to B2C in the future, so that anyone can easily and quickly create and utilise 3D contents using VRIN 3D."

RebuilderAI's overarching goal is to provide straightforward AI solutions that enable anyone to quickly design 3D models, ranging from virtual showroom services for commercial entities to specialised software services for 3D designers.
