FYI, this story is more than a year old

Apple has launched a Steve Jobs tribute page on its website to display the messages of condolence received from fans around the world.

The launch of the page follows the temporary closing of Apple stores across the US so that employees could watch live broadcasts of an event celebrating Jobs’ life, held at the company’s Cupertino, California headquarters.

Some retail stores covered their windows with white sheets to keep the proceedings private.

The front page of Apple’s website still shows Jobs’ photo with the simple message, Steve Jobs 1955-2011.

The Steve Jobs tribute page can be found here.
