Salesforce is now live on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud infrastructure in Australia.

The strategic relationship means AWS customers in Australia can access the Salesforce Customer Success Platform, which includes Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Platform, Community Cloud on the AWS Sydney Region.

Randy Kern, EVP infrastructure engineering and chief infrastructure officer, Salesforce, says the partnership with AWS allows Salesforce to bring new infrastructure online faster and efficiently with one of the most reliable and resilient public clouds.

“As the global leader in CRM, we remain focused on enabling companies in Australia and around the world to use Salesforce to transform every customer experience.”

Telstra and icare are the first Australian Salesforce customers to access the Salesforce Customer Success Platform, and both customers have partnered with Salesforce to help drive digital transformation in their businesses.

“Telstra Enterprise has partnered with Salesforce to help our team digitally transform the way we serve our enterprise and government customers,” says Martijn Blanken, group managing director, Telstra Enterprise.

“Customer expectations are changing and Salesforce will play a key role in helping us better serve our customers through both face-to-face and digital interactions. This will allow Telstra Enterprise to consistently deliver world class experiences and outcomes for our customers.”

From icare, Rob Craig, chief operating officer comments, “icare leverages the Salesforce Customer Success Platform to deliver world-class insurance and care services across NSW.”

“Being one of the first customers in Australia to access Salesforce on the AWS Sydney Region means icare can easily expand upon the way we serve the businesses, people and communities in NSW.”

AWS and Salesforce partnered with the goal of helping customers simplify and expand how they capture, analyse and take action on data.

Moreover, the AWS - Salesforce alliance extends beyond Australia with Salesforce leveraging AWS infrastructure to support its customer base in Canada.

“APAC is one of the fastest-growing regions for Salesforce - the growing shift to cloud and demand for digital transformation is driving unprecedented growth for us in Australia,” explains Mark Innes, EVP and general manager, Salesforce Asia Pacific.

“With the availability of Salesforce on AWS in Australia, we’re poised to further accelerate innovation, business transformation and success for our customers and partners.”

Paul Migliorini, Managing Director, Amazon Web Services Australia and New Zealand, says the most innovative and successful Australian enterprises have been leveraging the capabilities of the AWS and Salesforce platforms to transform their businesses for many years.

“The availability of Salesforce’s Customer Success Platform on the AWS Sydney Region is a very significant milestone that will help Australian customers to fully leverage the scale, security and reliability of the AWS Cloud.”
