Samsung Australia has unveiled its Gaming Christmas Edit for 2026, a selection of monitors and storage products aimed at gamers, creators and multitaskers.

The line-up includes four products: the Odyssey G8 6K Gaming Monitor, the Odyssey G80SH OLED Gaming Monitor, the Smart Monitor 4K M7 and the 9100 Pro SSD. Prices start at AUD $499 for the SSD and go up to AUD $1,899 for the flagship gaming monitor.

Monitor range

At the top of the range is the Odyssey G8 6K Gaming Monitor. Samsung says it offers 6K resolution and a Dual Mode setting that switches to 3K at 330Hz, along with a 1ms response time, HDR10+ Gaming support and Fast IPS colour.

The Odyssey G80SH OLED Gaming Monitor starts at AUD $1,299. Samsung says it combines 4K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms response time, and includes Glare Free technology and True Black 500 HDR.

Both products target gamers, but each focuses on a different part of the market. The Odyssey G8 emphasises higher resolution, with the option to switch to a faster mode, while the G80SH OLED is positioned around OLED display technology and a high refresh rate at 4K.

Broader use

Samsung also included the Smart Monitor 4K M7 in the range, starting at AUD $699. It is designed for users moving between work, entertainment and gaming on a single screen.

Listed features include a 4K display, Samsung Vision AI, an onboard Copilot assistant, Smart TV apps, SmartThings controls and access to Gaming Hub for cloud gaming without a console. The product also includes Knox Security.

The M7 broadens the range beyond dedicated gaming hardware, reflecting how display makers are increasingly combining office, streaming and gaming functions in a single category of screen products.

Storage option

The final item is the Samsung 9100 Pro SSD, priced from AUD $499. Samsung says it is aimed at gamers, creators and video editors who need more capacity and faster file and game loading.

The SSD uses PCIe 5.0, placing it in a newer generation of consumer storage products designed to reduce data transfer bottlenecks for demanding applications, including large game installations and media projects.

Retail push

All four products are available through Samsung and major electronics retailers. The range gives the company a spread of price points across premium displays, hybrid-use monitors and storage as it targets seasonal consumer spending.

Samsung's consumer electronics business spans televisions, mobile devices, appliances, displays and memory products. This release brings together two of its established categories, monitors and storage, in a single retail-focused range for the Christmas period.

The Odyssey G8 6K Gaming Monitor is the highest-priced item at AUD $1,899, while the 9100 Pro SSD is the lowest-priced product at AUD $499.
