Samsung launches QD-OLED Smart Monitor M9 in Australia from AUD $2,499

Today

Samsung Australia has announced the nationwide availability of its latest Smart Monitor lineup, led by the newly introduced QD-OLED Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF model), alongside updated Smart Monitor M8 (M80F) and Smart Monitor M7 (M70F) models.

The Smart Monitor M9 debuts QD-OLED technology within Samsung's Smart Monitor portfolio. The 32-inch 4K QD-OLED display features a Glare-Free coating, aiming to deliver consistent visibility and comfort even in well-lit environments. The M9 also incorporates Samsung's proprietary OLED Safeguard+, which uses a cooling system to help mitigate the risk of burn-in, thereby supporting screen durability over time.

This flagship monitor supports a 165Hz refresh rate and an ultra-responsive 0.03ms response time, positioning it as a display capable of handling work, entertainment, and gaming with clarity and minimal motion blur. Vision AI powers several adaptive features, including AI Picture Optimiser, 4K AI Upscaling Pro, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro, all designed to enhance both picture and audio depending on the user's content and surroundings.

Neal Elliott, Acting Head of ProDisplay, Samsung Electronics Australia, emphasised the evolving needs of Australian consumers for versatile monitor solutions.

"The Smart Monitor series continues to evolve to meet the needs of Australian consumers who are looking for premium monitor experiences that provide the best outcomes whether they are using it for work, entertainment or gaming. In pairing the best of Samsung's QD-OLED display technology with the latest Samsung Vision AI features, the Smart Monitor M9 delivers a personalised experience with high picture quality and endless entertainment features, enabling Australians to work, watch and play in style, all within a single, versatile display."

The Smart Monitor M9 also serves as an entertainment hub, compatible with popular streaming platforms and providing access to Samsung TV Plus and Samsung Gaming Hub. The Gaming Hub supports cloud-based gaming without the need for an external console or PC. The monitor's slim metal design is complemented by a Pantone Validated certification, attesting to its colour reproduction accuracy under standard lighting conditions.

Expanded range

The Smart Monitor M8 and M7 models have been refreshed to provide broader access to Samsung's smart monitor experience. Both feature 32-inch 4K UHD screens, utilising Samsung's advanced VA panel technology for detailed and contrasted imagery. Tizen OS Home has been included to enable personalised recommendations and streamlined access to frequently used applications and inputs.

All three models integrate with SmartThings, Samsung's platform for connecting compatible devices throughout the home. The monitors also support Multi Control functionality between Samsung devices, as well as Multi View capabilities for displaying multiple inputs side-by-side, which can be particularly useful for productivity and multitasking.

Direct Microsoft 365 access is built in across the models, allowing users to create and edit documents from the monitor without requiring a linked PC, thus offering practicality for workplace environments. The Smart Monitor M7 will be offered in both 32-inch and 43-inch variants, catering to different user preferences for display size and workspace arrangement.
