Solace unveils Agent Mesh for secure scaling of agentic AI apps
Solace has launched its Agent Mesh Enterprise platform, offering an open system for building and operating AI-powered applications that interact in real-time with enterprise data. The new platform targets firms that want to move beyond experimentation and deploy agentic AI solutions securely at scale.
Agentic AI refers to autonomous software agents that make decisions and adapt through learning. According to recent industry research, such systems can speed up business processes by as much as 50 percent while reducing the amount of time spent on repetitive work by 40 percent. Many firms still face obstacles when they attempt to move these AI projects into production environments, especially when it comes to data integration and security.
Solace Agent Mesh aims to resolve these challenges. The platform provides a governed environment for integrating enterprise data with both native and third-party AI agents. This allows organisations to coordinate how different AI agents respond to business events.
Data IntegrationThe platform connects to enterprise applications and data sources through built-in connectors. These allow organisations to link real-time and static knowledge bases into their AI workflows. Business users can interact with data using their preferred interfaces, such as web chat, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.
Solace Agent Mesh uses an event-driven approach. The system supports parallel execution of multiple agents and enables asynchronous communication between them. This structure supports horizontal scaling and enables organisations to update or add new agents without bringing systems offline.
Security and GovernanceThe offering includes agent-based access control, single sign-on features, and granular permissions. This enables organisations to manage which agents can access data or interact with specific business systems. The system tracks agent and data interactions through real-time monitoring tools and workflow viewers, supporting compliance and improving system visibility.
The platform features a no-code agent builder, alongside options for developers to construct agents using traditional programming. An intelligent orchestrator assigns tasks to the appropriate agents in real time. Organisations can follow strict workflows when needed.
Industry ExpertiseIndustry analysts say agentic AI requires robust communication between agents and strong data management. Matt Aslett, Director of Research, Analytics and Data at ISG Research, commented on the platform's potential in this context.
“There are many challenges to overcome in relation to enabling AI agents to take automated actions and there is a case to be made for involving experts in inter-application communication,” said Matt Aslett, Director of Research, Analytics and Data, ISG Research. “Solace is well-placed to address this opportunity with Solace Agent Mesh, which provides the core capabilities required for communication between agents and will enable Solace customers and prospects to build on existing investments in microservices and EDA as they move towards agentic AI.”
Another recent industry report highlighted the importance of event-driven data architectures for supporting agentic AI at scale. The Forrester Wave: Streaming Data Platforms Q4 2025 noted that event-driven agents help enterprises build real-time applications and enable streaming for business systems.
Shawn McAllister, Chief Product Officer and Chief Technology Officer at Solace, said the pace of change in agentic AI requires new solutions.
“Agentic AI has completely changed the face of business, and requires revolutionary solutions to continue to fuel its unprecedented growth. Solace Agent Mesh Enterprise is the net result of a bold vision on how organizations can better harness the power of agentic AI,” said Shawn McAllister, CPO and CTO, Solace. “Organisations can quickly go from experiments to full scale enterprise production with fast development, and secure access to enterprise context, all powered with the proven robustness of an event driven architecture. Agent Mesh is designed to meet the ever-evolving needs of increasingly connected, real-time, and intelligent enterprises.”
Solace is making the Agent Mesh platform available in both enterprise and open-source community versions. Prospective users can join a pilot programme to evaluate the technology in their own environments. Solace already provides data integration and orchestration for leading companies across sectors including manufacturing, retail, and financial services.
