Solera drives AI, sustainability & women’s leadership in APAC

Fri, 5th Dec 2025

Solera has introduced new initiatives focused on advanced AI technology for insurance claims, measurable sustainability practices, and leadership development for women in the insurance sector, targeting expansion and collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region.

AI claims platform

Solera is strengthening its Qapter AI-powered claims platform throughout APAC. The solution utilises AI-based visual intelligence and vehicle identification to automate claims processing for insurers and automotive repairers.

The Qapter platform is built on an extensive automotive intelligence database, handling over 1 million transactions each day in more than 100 countries. Solera reports the platform's claim coverage exceeds 99.5 per cent for passenger vehicles worldwide, with fewer than 150 errors per million claims.

These capabilities are intended to streamline claims assessment and repair procedures, enabling faster settlements and improved accuracy for insurance companies and their partners.

Circularity initiative

Solera has launched the Global Circularity Consortium, which aims to bring together various stakeholders in the automotive sector, including manufacturers, insurers, repair businesses, recycling networks, regulators, academics and consumers. The consortium's objective is to support measurable sustainability targets through a collaborative structure made up of four tiers and five supporting networks.

Members gain access to verified data about sustainability performance and can participate in collaboration platforms focused on expanding circular economy practices within the vehicle lifecycle.

"The Global Circularity Consortium represents a defining moment for sustainable mobility, shifting the industry from competition to collaboration. By connecting data with trust and trust with capital, we're establishing the foundation for a measurable and scalable circular economy," said Jing Liao, Chairwoman of The Solera Foundation and Chief Administrative Officer, Solera.

Solera states that it is the first ISO 14064-certified company in automotive claims. Its Sustainable Estimatics platform helps insurers measure and reduce carbon emissions during vehicle repair processes. The company says each claim processed through this approach cuts about 45 kg of CO2 and saves up to USD $180 per case.

Women's leadership

Solera is marking the first anniversary of the Women in Insurance and Insurtech Network (WIINS) in APAC. The programme, which began as an internal initiative, is now described as a global effort to connect and develop female leadership within the insurance industry. According to the company, the network's Leadership Academy has engaged 820 participants globally over the past year.

"It was created by women, for women, with the goal of strengthening female leadership, exchanging experiences and building powerful connections in one of the most dynamic and fast-growing markets in the world," said Liao.

Industry participation

Solera executives are using industry forums to highlight what they characterise as an integrated approach to insurance technology, environmental benchmarking, and inclusion.

"Insurtech Insights Asia provides the perfect platform to demonstrate how Solera is leading change across multiple dimensions. We're not just deploying advanced technology, we're building a more sustainable and inclusive future for the entire insurance ecosystem," said Arnaud Agostini, International Managing Director, Solera.
