SOTI partners for enhanced supply chain print solutions

SOTI has announced a partnership with TSC Auto ID and BarTender by Seagull to enhance print management capabilities in the supply chain sector.

The collaboration aims to offer an integrated management solution for digital printers, focusing on label creation and maintaining compliance with data protection regulations. Through the utilisation of SOTI Connect, essential updates and configurations can be managed remotely on TSC Auto ID printers.

The partnership seeks to address challenges faced by the Transport and Logistics (T&L) sector, where a significant proportion of workers reportedly experience frequent technical issues with mobile printers. A study by SOTI indicates that 98% of workers in this field use mobile printers, often encountering an average of 16 hours of downtime monthly due to technical failures. This downtime can lead to delivery delays and added stress for a number of employees.

For sectors such as T&L and retail, efficient digital printers are essential for maintaining transparent supply chains. Printers facilitate the tracking and traceability of goods through accurate labelling processes. This collaboration between SOTI, TSC Auto ID, and BarTender by Seagull aims to enhance support in these critical sectors through a new, combined solution.

SOTI Connect facilitates remote management by streamlining the distribution of firmware and feature updates, ensuring that printers run at optimal functionality without requiring manual intervention. This remote management capability provides IT administrators with the tools needed to preemptively address potential issues, maintaining print operations efficiency.
