Tech Data unveils StreamOne platform enhancements

Today

Tech Data has announced new capabilities for StreamOne, its global cloud platform, aimed at enhancing customer experience and facilitating partner growth.

Anand Chakravarthy, Vice President of Advanced Solutions for Tech Data Asia Pacific and Japan, commented on the comprehensive functionality of StreamOne: "StreamOne is more than just a marketplace — it is where all clouds meet. It is a complete platform that includes a marketplace function and adds functionality to enable a seamless, end-to-end journey for any user, at any level. As the demand for scaling AI applications drives sustained growth in cloud demand across Asia, unifying and standardising all vendor systems into a single, consistent format, enables us to increase efficiency and reduce complexity for partners, and ultimately empowers them to drive their growth through increased digitalization."

The new platform capabilities include comprehensive hyperscaler coverage, which is designed to create efficiencies and opportunities for partners of various scales. Among the new features is the StreamOne commerce API, which introduces headless commerce and allows Tech Data products to be seamlessly integrated into partner-built marketplaces, whilst facilitating comprehensive order management for customers.

Additionally, StreamOne PSA Connectors offer an easy connection between platform data and Professional Services Automation software. This functionality supports differentiated features, such as billing reconciliation, which can assist partners in their business operations.

With its open API architecture, StreamOne enables its users to incorporate best-of-breed tools, which supports the scaling and automation of processes. One of the notable aspects of StreamOne is its ability to provide real-time synchronised reporting on infrastructure as a service (IaaS) consumption, empowering partners to implement continuous billing rather than waiting for the end of the month.

The platform's robust IaaS visibility supports unique FinOps capabilities, providing detailed consumption reporting and advanced cost optimisation tools. White-label storefronts are another key feature, allowing partners to extend commerce and capabilities under their brand without incurring deployment or maintenance costs.

StreamOne's marketplace syndication also expedites hyperscaler catalogue procurement processes, initially focusing on Microsoft Azure and AppSource SaaS solutions. Tech Data plans to demonstrate this feature prominently at the upcoming Microsoft Ignite event. The company is also piloting a Security Operations solution, which aims to enhance partners' ability to monitor their SMB customers' Azure security profiles.

Currently in limited release, the SecOps solution offers an all-in-one view to identify potential threats, standardise the deployment of security policies, and advise on products to reinforce security measures. Full general availability of this solution is expected in 2025.

Andre Dowding, Managing Partner of Net Intellect and a TD SYNNEX customer, shared positive feedback, stating: "StreamOne checks every box as far as being easy to use for both me and my team, increasing our ability to work efficiently. Specifically, being able to see accurate, real-time changes reflected through the new enhanced PSA integration has been tremendously helpful for our business."

With its latest updates, StreamOne is positioned as a fully global platform, offering instant availability of its new capabilities across all regions, and facilitating digital transformation efforts for over 30,000 partners. The platform's continual improvements, including AI-powered tools and enhanced security features, underscore Tech Data's dedication to equipping partners with the tools needed to succeed in the shifting technology landscape.
