Teletrac Navman launches global consulting for fleet decarbonisation

Yesterday

Teletrac Navman has introduced a global consulting service aimed at crafting comprehensive decarbonisation strategies for fleet operators engaged in multi-energy operations.

This new service will connect customers to the broader Vontier ecosystem of multi-energy products, facilitating an integrated approach to business operations and fleet decarbonisation.

Alain Samaha, President of Teletrac Navman, elaborated on the scope of the consultancy, stating, "This consultancy goes beyond just electrification to offer a more strategic long-term perspective on multi-energy transition across a broad range of energy types, helping businesses achieve critical net zero targets, reducing transition costs, and identifying new revenue streams." He emphasised that the service offers businesses a view into the economics, process management, and procurement necessary for enterprise sustainability strategies, including a variety of alternative energies such as electrification, hydrogen, natural gas, and biodiesel.

The backdrop for this launch is Teletrac Navman's earlier rollout of the EVE (Electric Vehicle Evaluator) platform, which employed telematics data and predictive analytics to aid in the electrification of light vehicles. The EVE platform focused on feasibility planning, financial planning, and infrastructure design, supporting informed long-term financial decisions regarding capital expenditure.

The latest service expands on these offerings by integrating more comprehensive analytics and technology. "Our new service will provide detailed financial analysis and emission pathways under different scenarios and sensitivities for periods up to ten years," Samaha noted. He described this as being potentially transformative for businesses embarking on multi-energy transitions.

As the business and sustainability landscape continues to evolve, Teletrac Navman aims to address the complexities associated with long-term decision-making in this dynamic environment. The consultancy service intends to support businesses that require substantial capital and operational expenditure, offering them thorough financial insights and emission trajectories to guide their transition strategies.

Teletrac Navman's latest initiative aligns with its previous efforts, such as the Sustainability Dashboard, which allowed fleet managers to monitor their progress against decarbonisation targets using telematics. By incorporating a more holistic approach, the company aims to further aid fleet managers in navigating their energy transition towards a more sustainable future.
