Tenable appoints Cybersecurity Expert Meg O'Leary as Chief Marketing Officer

Tenable, the global Exposure Management firm, has announced the appointment of Meg O'Leary, a renowned cybersecurity expert, as its Chief Marketing Officer. Based in the US and currently overseeing Australia, Tenable made the announcement on October 19, 2023.

O'LEary is esteemed in the field for the extensive know-how and skills derived from her over two decades quo in marketing and communications. She is acclaimed for her unique storytelling capability which has facilitated the establishment of strong brands for some of the top firms in the cybersecurity business. Prior to this role, O'Leary held the Chief Marketing Officer position at Cybereason, where her endeavours helped position the company as a frontrunner in endpoint security. Further enhancing her stellar portfolio, she also served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Capsule8, a trailblazer in cloud workload protection that was later taken over by Sophos. Additionally, she co-founded InkHouse Marketing+Media, a public relations agency now part of Berlin-Rosen. During her tenure, she provided guidance on a multitude of company and product rollouts, initial public offerings (IPOs), and exits.

At Tenable, O'Leary’s responsibility will be to spearhead the firm's worldwide marketing structure. This encompasses boosting brand recognition and orchestrating messages and positioning. She will also oversee the go-to-market strategy and drive demand generation for the entire platform.

Tenable's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Amit Yoran, expressed his confidence in OLeary's capabilities as she joins the firm at a key junction.
