Teradata unveils Enterprise AgentStack for AI at scale

Wed, 28th Jan 2026

Teradata has launched Enterprise AgentStack, an integrated toolkit for building, deploying, and managing AI agents across cloud and on-premises environments.

The company positioned the product as a way for large organisations to move beyond agentic AI pilots and into wider deployment. Teradata said enterprises often struggle with lifecycle complexity when they try to scale AI agents, including data integration, governance and compliance in hybrid environments.

Enterprise AgentStack brings together four components. Teradata said the toolkit includes Enterprise MCP for data discovery and system integration, AgentBuilder for creation, AgentEngine for deployment, and AgentOps for governance.

Product scope

Teradata described Enterprise AgentStack as an open and connected stack that unifies the AI agent lifecycle. The company said agents built on the toolkit can use enterprise data alongside context and reasoning. It also highlighted interoperability across hybrid environments.

Teradata said Enterprise MCP provides a curated set of tools, prompts, and resources. The company said it offers security controls and integration with Teradata platform functions. Teradata said it uses these components for discovering, orchestrating, and integrating data into agent workflows.

The company said the tooling can support actions such as querying structured and unstructured data, analytics, document extraction, semantic search, retrieval augmented generation grounded responses, metadata discovery, and SQL generation and optimisation.

Build tools

Teradata said AgentBuilder offers no-code and pro-code frameworks for building agents. It listed Karini.ai, LangGraph, CrewAI, and Flowise as options. The company also said AgentBuilder gives agents access to Teradata context intelligence. It described this as industry data models, frameworks, and expert prompts.

Teradata said AgentBuilder also works with tools from cloud service providers, NVIDIA, and open large language model APIs. It listed pre-built agents including Customer Lifetime Value, SQL optimisation, data science workflows, and system monitoring.

Karini AI has partnered with Teradata on the toolkit. "Our collaboration with Teradata on Enterprise AgentStack accelerates the shift toward truly autonomous enterprises. By pairing Teradata's analytic performance and trusted data foundation with our no-code agentic AI platform, organisations can transform static data into dynamic, intelligent workflows. Together, we're enabling enterprises to scale agentic AI with confidence and deliver measurable impact faster," said Nitin Wagh, Cofounder & CEO, Karini AI.

Deployment layer

Teradata said AgentEngine provides an execution environment for deploying AI agents across hybrid infrastructures. The company said it supports single agents, multi-agent systems, and custom workflows from different frameworks. Teradata said the runtime allows agents to share memory, data structures, and execution workflows.

The company said agents can use Teradata large language model APIs and MCP tools. It also said persistent memory can use structured and unstructured data.

Teradata said AgentEngine deploys via Docker and Kubernetes. The company also highlighted security, identity and access management, and observability features across its ecosystem, for on-premises or cloud.

Governance focus

Teradata linked the launch to governance and compliance pressures as organisations attempt to scale agent deployments. It cited a survey conducted for Teradata by NewtonX which found 93% of respondents reported challenges in creating governance and guardrails for AI initiatives.

Teradata said AgentOps provides a centralised interface for discovery, monitoring, and lifecycle management of AI agents across an organisation. The company said it includes policy enforcement, guardrails, evaluations, compliance checks, and human-in-the-loop controls. It also said the interface includes an agent playground for prototyping and experimentation.

The company framed the market challenge as a gap between experimentation and scaled deployment as leadership asks for measurable returns. Teradata also pointed to research from Boston Consulting Group. It said "AI future-built organisations" achieve five times the revenue increases compared with peers.

"Enterprise AgentStack is essential for enabling the autonomous enterprise-an organisation that applies knowledge, context, and agentic reasoning to deliver superior outcomes. By collapsing complexity into a unified platform, we help enterprises move from concept to intelligent agent in minutes-not months-while meeting scale and governance requirements. And because Teradata customers have mission-critical data already in our systems-a gold mine ready for agents to find, use, and act on-they gain a shortcut that helps turn agentic AI from aspiration into reality," said Sumeet Arora, Chief Product Officer, Teradata.

Teradata said Enterprise AgentStack will be available on cloud in Q2 and on-premises later in the year.
