UiPath has been recognised as a Leader in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
This marks the sixth consecutive year that the enterprise automation and artificial intelligence company has achieved this status. According to the report, UiPath was positioned highest for its Ability to Execute and furthest for its Completeness of Vision.
Graham Sheldon, UiPath's Chief Product Officer, commented on the achievement, stating, "We believe this recognition exemplifies our commitment to drive innovation and deliver a best-in-class enterprise automation and AI platform that helps enterprises improve efficiency and makes peoples' work more fulfilling and strategic."
He further emphasised the company's ongoing efforts to harness AI's potential alongside automation to create advanced solutions capable of handling complex processes.

The Gartner Magic Quadrant evaluated a total of 13 RPA vendors, aiming to assist enterprises in selecting automation solutions that best suit their needs. The report noted that "Robotic process automation continues to be a core software market for improving operational efficiency with tactical automation."
The comprehensive UiPath Business Automation Platform comprises a multitude of components including generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), process orchestration, API integration, process and task mining, intelligent document processing, low-code application development, and application testing. The platform is flexible, offering deployment options on-premises, in the cloud, or in hybrid environments.
Recent updates to the UiPath platform were also highlighted, featuring the general availability of UiPath Autopilot, which allows developers and testers to create automations using generative AI prompts. Additionally, the UiPath Integration Service aims to speed up the development and sharing of API integrations. Further improvements to UiPath Document Understanding have been made to accommodate complex unstructured data processing with native large language models (LLMs).
Gartner's criteria for Leaders in the RPA market include a deep understanding of the market, a consistent record of performance, the ability to influence the market's direction, and an aptitude for attracting and retaining customers. Leaders are expected to grasp the needs of enterprise customers and identify opportunities for expanding functionality while adding new products and services to their core offerings.
