Visa names Martyna Lazar Head of Risk for Australia, NZ & South Pacific

Visa, the world leader in digital payments, announced on February 23, 2023, that Martyna Lazar has been appointed as Head of Risk for Visa in Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific. Julian Potter, Group Country Manager of Visa in AuNZSP, said that Martyna's appointment comes at a crucial time, with security being a top priority for their banking and merchant partners, and consumers. Martyna's work in securing the merchant and payment ecosystem regionally will enhance their security credentials, contributing to the overall integrity of the payments ecosystem.

Martyna, who brings over 10 years of experience in risk and compliance, was most recently Head of Adyen's Risk and Compliance function in Asia Pacific. She built the function for the region and has held leadership roles in payments, risk, and fraud management, as well as network and regulatory compliance.

Martyna, who will be based in Sydney and will serve as a member of Visa's AuNZSP Leadership Team, commented, "It's a truly exciting time for the payments industry as promoting consumer trust is more important than ever in our digital-first world.
