Westcon-Comstor, a specialist global technology provider and distributor, has announced it is expanding its partnership with Check Point Software, a leader in AI-powered, cloud-delivered cybersecurity system provision. This collaboration will provide channel partners with an optimised, efficient channel to trade Check Point products on the AWS (Amazon Web Services) Marketplace. The announcement follows Westcon-Comstor receiving Check Point’s EMEA distributor of the year award at the CPX 2024 event in Vienna.
In this latest development, Westcon-Comstor is uniquely placed as the first and sole distributor outside the US to confidentially list Check Point’s cybersecurity software packages on AWS Marketplace. Spanning across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and the Asia-Pacific (APAC), the collaboration opens doors for partners to capitalise on the fast transaction times, larger deal capacities, increased success rates, and compact sales cycles facilitated by AWS Marketplace's increasing popularity.
Check Point is the latest vendor to be incorporated into Westcon-Comstor’s AWS Marketplace scheme, following the distributor signing up for the Designated Seller of Record (DSOR) agreement with AWS. It signals a further enhancement in the relationship between Check Point and Westcon-Comstor, who penned a worldwide distribution agreement in late 2023 to unlock new acceleration opportunities for partners aiming to take advantage of growing Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) demand.
