Zoho reports 18% revenue growth & expands in Australia

Wed, 13th Nov 2024

Zoho has announced a growth in new customers by 19% and an increase in revenue by 18% in Australia, alongside a renewed commitment to partnerships, product innovation, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

The company has outlined a series of strategic partnerships with organisations including SA Leaders, Cyber Wardens, and local government councils.

These partnerships are designed to equip current and prospective business owners with essential technology, insights, and support.

Rakesh Prabhakar, Head of Zoho Australia and New Zealand, stated: "Since arriving in Australia over five years ago, the market has grown from strength-to-strength for Zoho; and now represents one of our fastest-growing globally. But as we continue our strong and sustained growth in the region, we don't want that to come at the expense of either our communities or our founding principles. So that's why a focus on social responsibility and local partnerships underpins our entire strategy in Australia, as we seek to empower local businesses with the tools, insights, and support to start and scale thriving businesses."

Prabhakar further added: "Since opening our new office in Adelaide earlier this year, we've built out our go to market team. Doing so in the thriving South Australian capital, rather than in traditional hubs like Sydney or Melbourne, aligns with our transnational localism strategy, through which we put down deep roots in areas not traditionally served by major technology companies. In doing so, it enables us to better support the burgeoning local business and innovation sector both in Adelaide and nationwide."

"We're committed to hiring local talent, strengthening our partner networks, and tailoring our product to the thriving Australian business community."

Zoho Australia has been a top 10 market for the company over the last decade, with growth accelerating following its formal entry in 2019. The company achieved a compound annual growth rate of 22.33% over the past three years. The past year has seen both customers and revenue grow by 19% and 18% respectively.

The increase in the region has been fuelled by the adoption of flagship products like Zoho Workplace, Zoho One, Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, and Zoho Invoice.

Zoho's Australian customers, particularly in the education, healthcare, financial services, construction, and retail sectors, use an average of 18.22 applications from Zoho's suite of over 55 products.

During the same period, the company's local headcount saw a 56% increase, with plans to double the team in the next three years. Zoho has more than doubled its partner network since 2021, growing it by 131%. This includes resellers, distributors, implementation partners, platform partners, systems integrators, and ISVs.

Through its partnership with SA Leaders, Zoho will host workshops focused on essential business processes. The partnership with Cyber Wardens aims to improve cybersecurity awareness among small businesses, providing them with vital knowledge to combat cyber threats.

Additionally, Zoho collaborates with local government councils to host various educational events for the entrepreneurial community.

One such initiative included a session in Wyndham, Victoria, for small business owners and decision makers.

Zoho is also partnering with Infoxchange to offer not-for-profits access to discounted products, such as Zoho One and Zoho CRM, through the ConnectingUp platform.

Zoho's commitment to user privacy is highlighted by their approach to data management; the company does not use an ad-revenue model and maintains complete control over its data centres to ensure user privacy and security.
