Zscaler unveils ZDX Copilot, revolutionising AI-assisted IT monitoring
Zscaler, a specialist in cloud security and Zero Trust, has revealed new enhancements to its Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) service, featuring ZDX Copilot, Hosted Monitoring, and Data Explorer. Of these, ZDX Copilot represents a considerable advancement in AI-assisted monitoring and diagnostic tools, designed to aid IT and service desk teams with invaluable insights into digital experiences and system performance.
Lauded as an AI assistant, ZDX Copilot swiftly evaluates an astonishing 500 trillion data points per day, encompassing the scope of users, devices, networks, and applications. This compendium of data aids IT operations, service desks, and security teams by offering insights critical to digital experiences and system performance. Designed with an ability that allows conversational interaction, teams can ask ZDX Copilot a sequence of questions using its Generative AI capability to review high-level trends and progressively narrow results down to precise and actionable information.
Key benefits underscored in relation to ZDX Copilot's deployment across IT and security sectors include enabling service desk teams to isolate the root causes of user complaints, aiding rapid and efficient solutions to issues. In addition to this, networking teams can interactively perform deep analysis across networks, applications and regions to determine trends or seek optimisation opportunities. Security teams are able to ensure their services are performant at all times, and promptly expose root issues when performance lags. Finally, IT leaders can extract digital experience trends and performance insights to present progress, or to highlight new opportunities.
Another of Zscaler's newly unveiled enhancements is Zscaler Hosted Monitoring, a service that helps IT operations teams continuously monitor the availability and performance of applications and services from a globally distributed monitoring infrastructure on Zscaler's cloud. Hosted Monitoring allows IT teams to confirm optimal performances of external sites, irrespective of the customer's geographical location, monitor SLA compliance for various applications and services, and confidently implement new applications or expand into fresh regions as businesses grow.
Speaking about the evolution, Dhawal Sharma, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Zscaler, noted the importance of visibility in monitoring tools in today's Zero Trust architecture. He said, "ZDX reinstates end-to-end visibility across devices, networks, and applications. With this new release, Hosted Monitoring provides 24/7 monitoring to SaaS and external websites from numerous global locations. ZDX Copilot enables IT teams, such as Service Desk and IT Operations, to instantly access insights drawn from trillions of performance metrics, using GenAI to analyse IT issues and collaboratively work with precision and speed."
A final feature introduced by Zscaler is the Data Explorer, which empowers IT teams and leaders to construct and share personalised reports that visually correlate data gathered from a range of datasets, putting it in the context of their individual businesses.
The Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange platform is designed to protect thousands of customers from cyber attacks and data loss by securely connecting users, devices, and applications in any location. Distributed across more than 150 data centers globally, the SASE-based Zero Trust Exchange is the world's largest in-line cloud security platform.
