Acer Australia and New Zealand has announced a new business model and several senior management appointments as it accelerates its local growth strategy. Breaking barriers between people and technology, Acer’s local business will now feature three distinct business units: Commercial, Retail, and Distribution. Under this new model, Acer will continue to strengthen its presence in the Education, Government, and Corporate sectors, with a dedicated sales and support team focused on client engagement and growth.

The latest senior appointments and promotions at Acer include Cameron Anderson, who has taken on the position of General Manager – Acer Australia Commercial Business and Acer New Zealand. Anna Viengkham, formerly New South Wales Retail Manager, has been appointed as National Retail Business Manager, heading up Acer’s new Retail Business Unit. Ali Lokhandwala will lead the Channel and Distribution Business Unit in his role as Channel Sales Manager.

In addition to these appointments, Acer has a strong pipeline of innovative products and solutions coming to Australia and New Zealand in 2023. This includes new display monitors in the Vero line-up which utilise recycled plastic, recycled packaging, and ocean-bound plastic waste. A new range of connected devices including a 5G and WiFi Router and Acerpure, a new Acer brand to the local market offering a range of high quality, high-efficiency air treatment products to the local consumer and commercial market.

These new developments are aimed at driving local growth for Acer in Australia and New Zealand. “As we move towards our 30th anniversary in Australia, our refreshed business model and new appointments will ensure Acer continues to deliver innovative products and solutions for our customers in the Education, Government, and Corporate sectors, as well as the wider consumer market. We’re excited to see the development of the Acer brand in Australia and New Zealand, and we remain committed to strengthening our stake in the region," states Gaba Cheng, Managing Director of Acer Australia and New Zealand.
