Adobe partners with Adelaide Uni to transform student experience

Yesterday

Adobe has announced a collaboration with Adelaide University to enhance the digital student experience.

Adelaide University, formed by the merger of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia, plans to use Adobe Experience Cloud to create a personalised, data-driven journey for students prior to its planned 2026 opening.

The institution aspires to become Australia's most accessible and technologically advanced university.

Within six months, Adobe and Deloitte Digital have supported Adelaide University in launching a new website. The website sets the foundation for a digitally connected and forward-thinking campus aimed at engaging both current and prospective students.

Adelaide University has chosen Adobe's complete suite of solutions to achieve personalised interactions at a large scale. This includes using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service, which offers a scalable and secure platform for digital customer experiences. Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) is being employed to consolidate audience data, offering insights for tailored engagement. Specific tools such as Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, Adobe Journey Optimizer, Adobe Target, and Adobe Advertising are all part of this technological setup.

Professor Jessica Gallagher, Deputy Vice Chancellor International and External Engagement at Adelaide University, stated, "Our goal is to create a digital platform that seamlessly integrates the best technologies to shape our future enrolment growth."

"By investing in Adobe's suite of products, we are building a robust digital infrastructure that supports our vision to become a future-forward, globally renowned institution. Further, our audience and data-led approach will allow us to experiment and make data-driven decisions in the future."

Deloitte Digital has been engaged to assist in implementing Adobe's solutions. This collaboration led to the development of the new website, aimed at refining Adelaide University's digital experience both internally and externally. The website currently serves as a tool to engage potential students and will continue to evolve as the university approaches its official opening.

Katrina Troughton, Vice President and Managing Director at Adobe Australia and New Zealand, commented, "Adelaide University has a bold vision that will redefine higher education. By working to connect its data, content and journeys, it will be able to deliver a modern, intuitive and personalised experience that resonates with students of today and tomorrow."

According to Adobe's Digital Student Experience (DSX) Benchmark 2024, which evaluates website performance over the university student lifecycle, Australian universities face challenges in improving their digital student experience, particularly around enrolment and engagement.

Although the sector achieved a commendable score of 82 out of 100, there remains a significant disparity between institutions in terms of digital maturity. Adelaide University is determined to lead in this space to secure its competitive advantage.
