AI-driven analytics delivered directly into Slack, Salesforce, and Google products
Sisense has announced the Sisense Extense Framework, developed to deliver AI-driven analytic experiences directly to users without leaving their workflow.
Several new infusion applications will be built on the new Framework delivering actionable intelligence to employees for operational, logistical, and role-based teamwork, improving collaboration and decision-making. Infusion applications for Slack, Salesforce, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Chrome are now available on the Sisense Marketplace.
A recent IDC survey found that 65% of companies believe the ease of embedding analytics into business applications is an essential requirement from analytic vendors, but 50% say doing so is difficult.
And according to a survey of Gartner Research Circle Members, workstream collaboration (58%) will be the most crucial digital workplace application to their organisation through 2021. While by 2024, 85% of organisations using workstream collaboration (WSC) will have WSC extended to all office workers across the organisation, up from 45% in 2019.
The company says the addition of the Sisense Extense Framework makes it easier for organisations to use Sisense as their analytical engine, as it can be infused into any workflow or business application. It says the solution is freeing them from vendor lock-in and resulting in various cohesive experiences across home-grown, native, and Sisense infusion applications.
“While three-quarters of mid-sized organisations and two-thirds of large enterprises tell us that ease of embedding intelligence and analytics into business apps is an important requiremen, only half say it’s easy to embed analytics,” says IDC group VP of market research analytic and information management, Dan Vesset.
“This new framework from Sisense addresses a real market need by employees for less context switching among applications to access and act upon embedded intelligence in their daily workflows.”
Sisense chief product and marketing officer, Ashley Kramer, says Sisense continues to challenge the status quo with new ways to approach analytics.
“Customers no longer need to adjust their workflow or leave what they’re doing to search for insights in dashboards alone,” she says.
“Now, any business user can go about their day-to-day activities with their favourite apps, and analytics are infused directly into what they are working on, to impact everyday decisions.”
The Sisense Extense Framework will be released to all customers and partners later this year.
