Tue, 9th Jan 2024

As announced at CES 2024, Alienware is launching its latest gaming peripherals, the new Alienware Pro Wireless Mouse and Alienware Pro Wireless Keyboard. These advanced wireless products are the first peripherals from Alienware aimed at the competitive gaming industry and esports professionals.

Alienware is a subsidiary of Dell Technologies. Dell, a multinational technology company, acquired Alienware in 2006. Alienware is known for its high-performance gaming computers, laptops, and peripherals. The acquisition by Dell allowed Alienware to leverage Dell's resources and distribution network while maintaining its focus on gaming-oriented hardware.

Developing cutting-edge peripherals required rich insights, and the Alienware team collaborated with over 100 esports athletes globally, including their long-term partner, Team Liquid. Team Liquid's consistent success in esports history provided valuable input that guided the engineers and designers in creating these advanced peripherals.

The emphasis for these peripherals was on performance and comfort, tailored uniquely to the requirements of professional gamers. The Alienware Pro Mouse incorporates top-line performance components, a comfort-focused design with different grip types in mind, and durable materials. The pro gamers agreed a tournament-ready mouse needs to be responsive, comfortable and offer long battery life. Alienware pushed these boundaries and added thoughtful conveniences to the Pro Mouse.

Key features of the Alienware Pro Mouse include 4KHz wireless, and 8KHz wired polling rates, quick debounce times via Magnetic-Force Keyplates with optical switches, a state-of-the-art sensor offering 650 IPS tracking speed, 50G Acceleration and up to 26,000 DPI. The device also boasts a 70 million click rating for durability. The Pro Mouse offers 32 hours of battery life at 4KHz polling and is crafted from 82% post-consumer recycled plastics.

Engineered with the needs of competitive gamers in mind, the Alienware Pro Keyboard features a compact 75% custom form factor alongside Alienware's custom linear mechanical switches, which have a 40g actuation force for quick input registration. The keyboard also features a long battery life: 72 hours with 50% RGB or 798 hours with RGB off on a 2.4 GHz wireless connection.

Constructed from the hardest commercial grade of aircraft aluminium and featuring double-shot PBT keycaps tested to 100 million actuation, the Pro Keyboard offers impressive durability for gamers engaging in lengthy practice and tournament sessions.

Both peripherals can be integrated with Alienware's Command Center 6.1, a hub that provides quick access to game-specific profiles and themes, AlienFX lighting, macros, and more. This centralised hub enables gamers to maximise the performance of their gear, keep their peripherals running efficiently, and achieve their personal best in competitive gaming.

The Alienware Pro Wireless Keyboard and Pro Wireless Mouse are available in Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon colourways, ushering in a new era in the competitive gaming peripheral landscape.

As part of Dell Technologies, Alienware continues to design and manufacture gaming PCs and related products, catering to the gaming community with powerful and customisable systems. The combination of Dell's broader market presence and Alienware's gaming expertise has allowed the brand to maintain a significant presence in the gaming industry.
