Wed, 11th Jun 2025

AOC has maintained its position as the leading global gaming monitor brand, with new Mini-LED monitors now available in Australia.

Figures from IDC's Worldwide Quarterly Gaming Tracker, based on outgoing stock numbers from the Q4 2024 report, confirm that AOC, through its AGON by AOC line, has been the top gaming monitor brand worldwide for monitors featuring 144 Hz refresh rates and above every year since 2019. During Q2 2024, gaming monitors represented a record-high 20 percent of total monitor shipments, with AGON by AOC retaining a significant share of the market.

Kevin Wu, Head of Monitors Business Unit at AOC, commented on the company's ongoing commitment to the gaming community. He stated,

"Being recognized once again at the top reaffirms our commitment to gamers everywhere. We will continue to evolve alongside the gaming community, creating hardware and gaming experiences that meet the ambitions of today's most demanding players."

As 2025 approaches, AGON by AOC is planning to increase its emphasis on player-first innovation, including enhanced partnerships with game developers. These collaborations are expected to produce monitors that are more closely aligned with game mechanics, by offering tailored display features and integration of both hardware and software solutions. The intention is to deliver new levels of immersion and performance for consumers ranging from esports professionals to enthusiastic gamers.

The company has also increased refresh rates across its product range in an effort to improve competitive gaming experiences. The mainstream Full HD (FHD) series now offers refresh rates of up to 400 Hz, while the AGON and AGON PRO series include monitors with Quad HD (QHD) resolutions at 540 Hz and FHD panels capable of being overclocked to 610 Hz. These specifications mark an increase in the available refresh rates for gaming-specific monitors in the market.

AGON by AOC is further enhancing its products with advanced display technologies. Its OLED monitor options, utilising both QD-OLED and WOLED panels, deliver enhanced colour accuracy and improved contrast ratios. Additional features such as circular polarisation are intended to reduce eye strain during prolonged use, while the MBR+ (Motion Blur Reduction Plus) technology is designed to virtually eliminate ghosting effects. Dual Refresh-Rate Support has also been introduced, providing users with flexible modes optimised for different game genres.
