Avalara has announced the availability of its E-Invoicing and Live Reporting solution (Avalara ELR) for Workday customers via the Workday Marketplace.
The integration is part of the Built on Workday programme, which empowers partners to create pre-built applications to address various business challenges. Avalara ELR provides a tax automation tool designed to assist businesses in complying with global e-invoicing regulations.
Avalara ELR allows businesses to exchange e-invoices through public document exchange networks such as Peppol or DBNA in the United States.
It also enables real-time transmission of e-invoices and reporting data to tax authorities via local government platforms, ensuring compliance with country-specific e-invoicing and live reporting requirements.

The Avalara ELR offers a unified experience for users within the Workday platform.
It helps companies to meet global compliance standards by covering existing e-invoicing or live reporting regulations in many countries. Support for new country mandates is regularly added, facilitating readiness for future changes.
The solution integrates with the Workday platform using a single API, simplifying the deployment process by avoiding disparate country-based integrations. This ease of integration aids in efficient system maintenance.
Avalara ELR includes an interface with a wizard that allows administrators to easily select and activate country mandates. As new e-invoicing regulations are added, the system administrator can update the mandates without initiating a new IT project.
Complementing the Avalara Compliance Platform, Avalara ELR offers an end-to-end compliance service that helps to calculate tax rates required by tax authorities more accurately. It creates e-invoices in the correct format and transmits them via the necessary platforms.
This development marks a continuation of Avalara's partnership with Workday.
Avalara first received a Workday Certified badge for its AvaTax solution in 2016.
