Josh Bersin launches Galileo Professional for HR sector

Today

The Josh Bersin Company has launched Galileo Professional, a low-cost subscription version of its AI-powered expert assistant tailored for individuals and small teams in the HR sector.

Galileo Professional aims to provide HR professionals with access to enterprise-scale tools, data, research, and artificial intelligence capabilities, integrating decades of Josh Bersin Company's research and analysis. It offers functions such as benchmark data, skills and economic insights, vendor analysis, and numerous case studies intended to support and enhance HR roles.

Workday has confirmed that Galileo will integrate with its Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, strengthening its functionality for users already engaged with Workday's HR solutions. This partnership is part of Josh Bersin Company's designation as a Workday Innovation Partner, signalling a strategic move to embed Galileo's capabilities within existing HR systems.

Galileo is powered by Sana's AI-driven adaptive learning platform and is presented as a tool that can support HR practitioners in resolving common industry challenges. Some of the key queries it addresses include creating development plans for personnel, enhancing employee retention and engagement, and improving recruitment processes.

CEO Josh Bersin described the launch as equipping HR professionals with what he calls "the essential briefcase". He explained, "HR professionals should view Galileo Professional and the Galileo Success Center as two powerful tools that offer immediate, on-demand access to the world's most trusted HR advisors."

Galileo Professional users will benefit from full access to the same wide range of research, articles, tools, videos, and podcasts available to Enterprise users. It can communicate in over 120 languages, expanding its accessibility to a global workforce.

The new subscription version is also supported by the Galileo Success Center (GSC), a resource designed to assist HR professionals, consultants, and vendors in effectively using Generative AI in their roles. This includes courses and structured frameworks designed to maximise the potential of AI in HR tasks.

Josh Bersin also highlighted the cost benefits of accessing Galileo Professional's resources, "With Professional you're getting ChatGPT-level simplicity and access to a wealth of resources, including a global skills and employment trends database, detailed benchmarking metrics, and leadership models from highly respected companies—resources that would otherwise cost hundreds of thousands of dollars annually."

Moreover, Galileo Professional users will have the capability to upload personal content related to their HR work, which the assistant then incorporates to provide tailored advice. This feature is complemented by advanced cybersecurity measures ensuring user privacy and secure handling of their data.

For those seeking more comprehensive services, Galileo Enterprise customers are additionally provided with features like enterprise-grade support, enhanced content sharing, and access to The Josh Bersin Company's consulting services, alongside other exclusive benefits.

The broader availability of Galileo aims to position it as a problem-solving and professional development tool within the HR profession on a global scale. Josh Bersin reflected on the future implications of adopting the tool, suggesting, "I wouldn't be surprised if, in a few years, having access to Galileo Professional will set you apart as an exceptional HR professional, showing that you're highly informed and up to date with everything happening in the world of HR."
