Boomi customers deploy 50,000 AI agents as agentic adoption soars

Thu, 9th Oct 2025

Boomi has announced that its customers have deployed more than 50,000 AI agents via its platform since May 2025.

These AI agents are being utilised by organisations seeking to improve operational efficiency, derive business insights, and support innovation. For example, supply chain provider Crane Logistics used Boomi's Scribe agent to reduce partner documentation processes by 60-70%.

The Boomi Platform has experienced notable growth in its agent ecosystem since May. There has been a 1,163% increase in agents created, a 932% growth in agents governed, and a 1,127% rise in agents deployed as production usage has accelerated across customer organisations.

Rapid uptake

Boomi reported that high-profile enterprises such as Lexitas, SPIE, and Avalara are exploring the platform's capabilities through Boomi Agentstudio. Boomi, together with its partners, has published over 300 agentic workflow templates on the Boomi Marketplace, facilitating faster adoption of agentic automation across multiple sectors.

According to John Baker, Chief Information Officer at Lexitas, Boomi Agentstudio is changing how the company perceives automation:

"Boomi Agentstudio is giving us the opportunity to reimagine what automation could look like in our business. The promise of orchestrating agents that act, adapt, and collaborate with teams cross functionally, has us excited about the potential to move far beyond simple task automation."

Partner contribution

Boomi's partner ecosystem has played a role in the platform's growth, building and publishing agent workflows for customer adoption. System integrators like Tech Mahindra, Onepoint, Sage IT, and Jade Global have contributed to the growing library of workflow templates.

Atul Soneja, Chief Operating Officer at Tech Mahindra, commented on the value this brings:

"As enterprises race from AI experiments to production, the real inflection point lies in agentic automation that is governed, trustworthy, and measurable. By building and publishing AI agents on the Boomi Marketplace, Tech Mahindra can deliver proven, repeatable solutions to customers worldwide. The speed at which we can bring new offerings to market with Boomi is unmatched, and customers benefit immediately from ready-to-deploy agents."

Governance and controls

Boomi stated that governance is embedded in Agentstudio's design, supporting monitoring, anomaly detection, and the full agent lifecycle. This aims to enable organisations to adopt agentic AI solutions while maintaining regulatory compliance and control.

Nick Patience, Vice President and Practise Lead, AI Platforms at Futurum, commented on the significance of these controls:

"As organizations move from experimenting with AI agents to running them in mission-critical environments, governance becomes non-negotiable. Without visibility and control, agents can create risk rather than value. Vendors that provide governance alongside cross-provider support are shaping the future of enterprise agentic transformation."

Steve Lucas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Boomi, commented on the growth the company is seeing:

"Customers are scaling AI agents into production, and partners are bringing new solutions to market at record speed, both powered by Boomi Agentstudio. This dual momentum reflects the unique strength of the Boomi Enterprise Platform: empowering innovation while ensuring governance, trust, and enterprise-grade scale. Together with our customers and partners, we're building the future of agentic transformation."

Expanded features

Boomi has identified several new enterprise features now part of Agentstudio's offering. These include cross-provider agent governance-allowing enterprises to manage agents from providers such as Amazon, Salesforce, and Microsoft-agent anomaly detection, Model Context Protocol (MCP) support, structured input/output for predictable outcomes, access to more than 300 workflow templates, and centralised telemetry logs covering 30 days of agent activity for compliance and operational control.

The recent addition of Agent Step extends the ability for organisations to embed AI agents within integration processes using the Boomi Process Canvas. This enables developers to add intelligence into their workflows, supporting real-time, context-aware decision-making and aiming to improve productivity and automation resilience.
