Thu, 28th Aug 2025

Boomi has been identified as a Leader in the Forrester Wave: Integration Platform As A Service (iPaaS), Q3 2025, and achieved the highest score in the strategy category among all vendors evaluated in the report.

The Forrester report assessed ten of the most significant iPaaS providers, with Boomi receiving the highest possible scores in ten criteria, including vision, innovation, roadmap, and supporting services and offerings. The evaluation highlighted Boomi's substantial focus on artificial intelligence (AI), application programming interfaces (APIs), and notable partner and customer feedback.

Leadership recognition

According to the Forrester Wave report, Boomi has "reoriented with an intense focus on AI and APIs," and receives "strong feedback from its partners" alongside "clear investment priorities." The report states that Boomi is "a great choice for customers who need a well-rounded iPaaS for broad integration use cases and who see integration as foundational to implementing their AI and automation strategy."

Reference customers cited in the Forrester evaluation expressed positive views regarding Boomi's investment levels and future vision. Forrester also noted Boomi's development of AI agent-building tools and its commitment to a strong Service Level Agreement (SLA), describing its disclosed uptime of 99.99% as the strongest among all vendors evaluated.

Company response

"We're honored to be named a Leader in the Forrester Wave - and especially proud to receive the top score in the strategy category," said Ed Macosky, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Boomi. "For us, this recognition validates our belief that integration is foundational to delivering meaningful, production-grade AI. We're investing heavily to help our customers build intelligent, scalable, and future-ready enterprises through agentic transformation."

Boomi's strategic direction emphasises AI and APIs, which included the acquisition of managed file transfer vendor Thru during the evaluation period. The company's vision is centred on facilitating a unified platform that aims to accelerate time to market, reduce costs, and enhance customer experience using AI-based automation.

Platform and services

Boomi's Enterprise Platform is described as a solution enabling organisations to unify data, applications, and systems, which supports agility, automation, and intelligence for enterprise clients. Boomi also offers functionality for building and governing AI agents and maintains a customer-centric support model, with experienced technical consultants embedded within its customer success organisation.

The company's roadmap, as outlined in the Forrester report, emphasises new tooling for AI agent construction, continued investment in data integration, event streaming capabilities, and the expansion of supported connectors.

Partner feedback formed another point of distinction for Boomi in the Forrester assessment. During evaluation, a global systems integrator referred to Boomi as "the best iPaaS vendor it works with."

Operational commitments

Boomi's SLA guarantees at least 99.99% uptime, with financial credits in the event of any breaches, ranging from 10% to 100%. This operational metric was cited by Forrester as the highest publicly disclosed SLA in the iPaaS market.

The company maintains its innovation strategy through a combination of dedicated strategy teams, deliberate investment priorities, and a focused approach to acquisitions.

Forrester has stated that it does not endorse any company or solution mentioned in its research publications, and the findings reflect judgments as of the time of review.
