Change Financial appoints Kathryn Grant as VP of Marketing for Global Growth
Change Financial Limited, a prominent Australian payments fintech, has appointed Kathryn (Kat) Grant as Vice President, Marketing with immediate effect. The announcement made on 10 October 2023, confirms Ms Grant's role of driving the overarching marketing strategy to position Change for further growth both domestically and internationally.
Ms Grant brings over two decades of marketing campaign, strategy and project management experience within the Australian payments, consumer and broader financial services industries. She served as the Head of Marketing - Australia at Openpay, then moved to WEX Australia where she led the marketing efforts for Asia Pacific for over five years. Her tenure at GE Capital spanning 11 years in various leading marketing roles further solidified her marketing portfolio.
During her career, Ms Grant has played a pivotal role in launching new products, services and card programmes to the market, including managing the high-profile WEX Motorpass Fuel Card and ANZ Travel Card. Owing to this extensive experience in the payments space, her appointment is considered a significant asset to Change Financial as the company prepares to strengthen and grow the business.
Tony Sheehan, Chief Executive Officer of Change Financial, expressed his confidence in Ms Grant's capabilities in driving their growth aspiration. He says, "Change Financial is on a growth trajectory in Australia, New Zealand and the US, so it is imperative we have someone of Kat's calibre in the team to help drive our marketing strategy so we can meet our ambitious targets".
The appointment comes as Change Financial continues to expand their global footprint, having signed numerous key global partnerships in 2023. The expansions have not only improved access to card programmes for smaller players in the market but also significantly enhanced their value proposition.
Mr. Sheehan continues, "We continue to see increased demand from both clients and investors globally. This appointment comes at an inflection point for the business as we enter our next stage of growth across a number of key markets worldwide including the United States, New Zealand and the Philippines".
Ms Grant holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics as well as a Master of Marketing from Monash University. She assumed her new role on 2 October 2023 and will be based in Melbourne.
