CompTIA launches CloudNetX certification for IT experts
CompTIA has introduced a new certification, CompTIA CloudNetX, aimed at senior IT professionals who work with hybrid enterprise networks.
CompTIA CloudNetX is now part of CompTIA's Xpert Series and is designed to validate the advanced skills required to design, engineer, and integrate networking solutions that are both secure and scalable in hybrid environments. This new certification addresses the evolving needs of modern enterprise networks, focusing on a vendor-neutral approach crucial for professionals dealing with products from multiple vendors.
"The demand for highly skilled network architects has surged as organizations increasingly adopt hybrid cloud solutions," stated Katie Hoenicke, Senior Vice President of Product Development at CompTIA. "For seasoned network professionals, CompTIA CloudNetX can help them enhance and validate the advanced skills needed to excel in these complex environments."
The certification covers a range of pertinent topics, including emerging technologies such as container networking, software-defined cloud interconnect, and the application of generative AI for automation and scripting purposes. Network security forms another key component of the certification, encompassing areas such as threats, vulnerabilities, accessible management, wireless security, and the hardening of appliances. The certification also puts a significant emphasis on Zero Trust Architecture.
Furthermore, CompTIA CloudNetX focuses on aligning technical skills with business objectives by training candidates to analyze business requirements and develop appropriate network solutions. This ensures that certified professionals can not only implement effective network strategies but also support organizational goals.
The certification is specifically targeted at IT professionals with a minimum of five years of experience in roles such as systems architect, network architect, cloud network architect, infrastructure architect, or enterprise architect.
CompTIA has also introduced two new learning resources to support the certification. CertMaster Perform CloudNetX is an eLearning tool designed to provide both instructional lessons and practical experience through live labs, while CertMaster Labs CloudNetX offers hands-on practice. These resources are designed for learners to apply their knowledge in real IT environments, and they align with the CompTIA CloudNetX certification exam objectives.
