Cornerstone eases growth challenges for mid-sized firms with new platform
Thu, 25th Apr 2024

A recent study determined that 91% of mid-sized organisations had to halt their growth plans due to difficulties in accessing capital. Further, 24% referenced staff and skill shortages as one of their primary challenges. As a response to these issues, Cornerstone OnDemand Inc., renowned for their learning and talent solutions, introduced Cornerstone Learning Fundamentals at the Learning Technologies event on 17th April 2024.

Cornerstone Learning Fundamentals is an all-in-one learning resolution explicitly optimised for mid-sized organisations. Comprising out-of-the-box, pre-packaged learning management products and services, expertly curated learning pathways, and a consumer-grade learner experience, this comprehensive offering aims to transform learning and development within these organisations.

In comparison to larger companies, mid-sized organisations may face challenges in deploying training and providing development opportunities. Constraints include smaller dedicated teams, which make the implementation of these critical functions more demanding. The Learning Fundamentals platform works to solve these restrictions by offering an easy-to-administer solution with short deployment time, alongside providing personalised and engaging learning experiences to employees.

The platform accommodates up to 5,000 users, allowing such organisations access to a comprehensive suite of resources, services, and reporting for job training and compliance fulfilment. Subscribers gain access to high-quality content courses on vital topics such as change management and productivity, curated by award-winning providers. In addition, artificial intelligence (AI) aids in curation and maps skills to content, empowering smaller teams to generate a significant impact.

Furthermore, Learning Fundamentals allows in-house experts to share specific content and lead academies on essential business skills, using easy-to-navigate tools for content creation and curation. The programme encourages staff to take ownership of their development through engaging, self-directed, social, and collaborative experiences. It also caters to managers, supporting them with active engagement in academies, led by internal experts and pre-built pathways on key management skills. Moreover, it eases the onboarding process for new employees with pre-built learning pathways on key skills.

Citing a study which uncovered that 41 percent of employees don't feel they have the necessary resources to develop their skills and 65 percent want more learning content, Karthik Suri, Chief Product Officer at Cornerstone noted that though organisations want to provide this for their employees, they need a solution that helps them ramp up quickly and grows with their ever-changing needs. "Cornerstone Learning Fundamentals is poised to address these needs head-on, providing mid-sized organisations with a 'just right' solution to deliver essential training while fostering a personalised and collaborative learning environment with consumer-grade experiences," he stated.

Cornerstone Learning Fundamentals is currently available globally in English.
