Data Army rebrands Proptech Cloud as Intel, broadens scope

Today

Data Army has announced the rebranding of its Proptech Cloud knowledge and data-sharing service as Data Army Intel, along with the release of new public listings on the Snowflake Marketplace.

The company stated that the new branding reflects its intention to expand support for a broader range of industries beyond property data and proptech. Data Army Intel will offer extended services across additional business sectors, though it will continue to prioritise its real estate-focused offerings.

Michael Ogilvie, Director, Data Army, said, "As part of our vision to deliver even greater value to a wider range of users, Data Army Intel will allow us to broaden our scope, thereby enabling more businesses across more industries to be empowered with data-driven intelligence that fosters innovation, reduces operational friction, and unlocks new opportunities for growth."

Since its initial launch in 2023, The Proptech Cloud has been adopted by businesses in the real estate sector, accumulating hundreds of active customers. The service has curated property technology-relevant data from a variety of providers and has offered knowledge content alongside a range of datasets for property data intelligence.

Data Army's stated goal from the outset was to promote data democratisation.

Partnering with Snowflake, the platform—now Data Army Intel—enables users to access datasets required through the Snowflake Marketplace to augment operations, stimulate growth, and apply innovative technologies with pre-packaged data.

This capability is designed to help clients enhance their existing datasets and facilitate more comprehensive and valuable queries. The access to high-quality, up-to-date data, according to the company, enables clients to fully leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.

The company outlined several benefits for users. These include faster and smarter decision-making due to broader data sets, improved operational efficiency by integrating external data with internal resources, and streamlined workflows that can result in cost savings and more informed strategic action.

Access to up-to-date and structured data also allows organisations to deploy AI and machine learning tools to identify trends, optimise processes, and sustain competitiveness.

Data Army Intel is not limited to a simple rebrand.

The service now offers an expanded repository of insights, practical guides, and knowledge articles, as well as increased sources of data and broader industry coverage. The company also remains focused on ongoing support for the property sector.

Data Army has stated its intent to develop additional industry-focused solutions under the Data Army Intel brand, naming verticals such as retail and finance among potential future targets.

Alongside data access on Snowflake Marketplace, the company is now providing industry-specific knowledge content and instructional guides to help users maximise the value of these resources. Clients are encouraged to combine external datasets with their internal assets to produce more detailed analyses of business trends and challenges.

Cathy Conroy, Director, Channel and Alliances, Snowflake, said, "We are excited to continue our partnership with Data Army as they evolve their services with the launch of Data Army Intel. By leveraging the Snowflake Marketplace, Data Army Intel enables users to access an ever-expanding range of high-quality data effortlessly and integrate it seamlessly into their operations."

"Powered by Snowflake's scalable, secure platform, businesses can efficiently manage and analyse growing volumes of data to drive smarter decision-making, accelerate innovation, and fuel sustained growth. Together, we are making it easier than ever for organisations to unlock the full potential of their data."

Data Army Intel is planning international expansion, focusing initially on countries that have established public domain datasets.
