Decidr & eBev partner to bring AI procurement to hospitality
Decidr has announced a strategic partnership with eBev to deploy its AI-powered procurement agent across more than 3,500 hospitality venues and 1,000 beverage suppliers in Australia.
Under the partnership, Decidr's procurement software will be integrated into eBev's ecosystem, which processes over AUD $400 million in orders annually and services 70,000 different products. eBev's clients include major beverage brands and hospitality groups such as Asahi, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, LION, Rockpool Dining Group, and Australian Venue Co.
The AI procurement agent developed by Decidr is designed to operate autonomously within the procurement environment, aiming to reduce the manual workload traditionally associated with key tasks, such as sourcing, pricing, and supplier management.
Key features of the technology will include automated quote comparisons from multiple suppliers, supplier recommendations based on previous venue preferences and purchasing behaviour, as well as live inventory forecasting to help prevent overstock and reduce wastage. The intention behind these features is to address operational challenges prevalent in hospitality procurement.
David Brudenell, Executive Director of Decidr, described the significance of the partnership, stating, "We are excited to partner with eBev to further enhance our AI-driven operational solutions in hospitality, an industry worth approximately AUD $90 billion annually in Australia. This collaboration complements our existing strategic partnerships with leading organisations like AWS, Go1, ELMO, and CareerOne, reinforcing our commitment to driving intelligent, scalable solutions across significant industry verticals.
"Decidr technology continues to demonstrate its versatility through this partnership and illustrates the significant commercial opportunity in a future where businesses use AI everyday."
Ian Harris, CEO of eBev, explained what the collaboration means for their network of clients and suppliers. He said, "We're excited to partner with Decidr to bring powerful AI tools to our customers and suppliers. With thousands of venues and suppliers using eBev every day, this technology will help them save time, make smarter decisions, and free up their teams to focus on service. It's a big step forward for hospitality procurement."
The first phase of AI agent development is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2026. Subsequent enhancements are anticipated to extend the system's capabilities into areas such as demand prediction and optimisation of the order lifecycle.
Decidr positions its solution as an operating system for businesses, leveraging two decades of research into human behaviour. The company aims to automate routine business processes and decision-making structures, making AI adoption accessible to a broad range of enterprises.
The integration with eBev is expected to target a challenging area of the hospitality sector, with the goal of streamlining procurement, improving inventory management, and providing actionable insights for suppliers and venues.
Both partners have indicated that the collaboration will build upon Decidr's existing alliances in other sectors, reinforcing the company's strategy to expand its AI-driven offering across different industry verticals.
The procurement system's expansion into demand forecasting and order lifecycle optimisation is expected to provide further operational efficiencies once released beyond the initial launch phase.
