Delta unveils RT Pro UPS to boost reliable, green power in Australia
Delta Electronics Australia has unveiled a new uninterrupted power supply (UPS), the RT Pro UPS, aimed at providing reliable and sustainable power management for a range of essential industries in Australia.
The RT Pro UPS has been developed to address the power supply requirements across sectors such as IT, government, transport, banking, and infrastructure. As grid supply stability continues to present challenges, the product offers online double-conversion technology to support mission-critical environments.
Key features
The RT Pro UPS is designed to offer up to 94.3% online power efficiency, with an ECO mode that raises efficiency up to 99%. The system is housed in a compact 2U configuration and is engineered to integrate with battery storage systems, delivering robust, uninterrupted power for critical services.
Delta Electronics Australia has incorporated several additional technical features into the RT Pro UPS. These include two programmable outlets for optimised battery runtime and power-cycling protection, scalable backup time via an optional external battery pack, remote shutdown and restart functions, and integrated dry contacts for custom system integration.
The unit's architecture allows for installation as either a rack-mounted or tower setup, and it features a rotatable LCD screen to facilitate monitoring in different environments.
Industry context
Uninterrupted power supply solutions are increasingly important as Australian organisations grapple with rising energy demands and infrastructure sensitivity to power fluctuations. The RT Pro UPS's high online efficiency and compatibility with battery storage target the need for longer protection during outages and improved energy cost management for large-scale and sensitive operations.
Tom Hew, Country Manager at Delta Electronics Australia, said:
"The energy demands on some of our most critical pieces of infrastructure are huge, which is why Delta's RT Pro UPS is such an important solution for many of our partners."
He highlighted the broader industry context: "As Australia's data centre needs continue to grow, so too does the need for reliable power management. This new product further extends our commitment to develop technologies that offer the best performance in the market, while also providing the smallest environmental footprint."
Sustainability focus
According to Delta, the RT Pro UPS is designed not only for optimal performance but also for efficient energy consumption and sustainability. The wide input voltage range of 120-280V and a smart three-stage battery charging mechanism are intended to reduce battery cycling, potentially extending the battery lifespan. These features contribute to Delta's emphasis on developing solutions that minimise environmental impact while supporting essential infrastructure.
Delta Electronics Australia remains committed to providing technologies for data centres and mission-critical operations. Its products support power infrastructure needs in government, transport, mining, and other large-scale projects. The company's stated approach to product development is aligned with enhancing energy conservation and productivity across sectors.
Broader engagement
Delta's presence in Australia aligns with the global company's strategy of contributing to digital infrastructure and resilient power management. The firm has stated that its goal is to assist organisations in balancing operational demands with sustainable practices, consistent with its corporate slogan.
The RT Pro UPS is one in a portfolio of solutions intended for organisations seeking to improve reliability and sustainability in their operations.
