Dynatrace named leader in 2024 GigaOm report for Kubernetes Observability

Fri, 15th Nov 2024

Dynatrace has been recognised as a Leader in the 2024 GigaOm Radar Report for Kubernetes Observability.

GigaOm, an established analyst firm, assessed 17 Kubernetes observability solutions, focusing on criteria such as scalability, ease of use, compliance and governance, cost, ecosystem support, and flexibility. According to the report, Dynatrace stood out, demonstrating its ability to provide deep insights into dynamic cloud environments and empower rapid, scalable innovation.

Dynatrace's solutions' insight has earned it a prominent position on the Radar, underscoring its effectiveness in enabling customers to understand complex cloud environments more thoroughly than competing solutions.

Dr Shane C. Archiquette, the GigaOm analyst who authored the report, stated, "Dynatrace's unique approach combines observability with automation, making it a powerful solution for large enterprises managing complex, distributed hybrid and multicloud environments. Innovation is a key aspect of Dynatrace's strategy...This keeps the platform ahead of competitors in providing intelligent, actionable insights that drive operational efficiency."

Globally, enterprises are increasingly adopting Kubernetes due to its capability to scale services quickly and improve efficiency. However, a recent Dynatrace study found that 76% of technology leaders find it more challenging to maintain visibility in Kubernetes environments than traditional technology stacks. The ability to gain comprehensive insights into the ongoing state of containerised environments is crucial for maintaining system health and resilience.

Dynatrace employs a blend of causal, predictive, and generative AI technologies to analyse vast amounts of interconnected data points within cloud environments. This allows customers to anticipate and prevent potential issues before they affect end users, thereby allowing teams to focus more on fostering innovation.

Steve Tack, Chief Product Officer at Dynatrace, commented, "As rapid adoption of cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes continues to accelerate, Dynatrace has become essential in delivering the insights customers need for the resilience, performance, and efficiency of their applications and infrastructure."

"GigaOm naming us a Leader in this report underscores our leadership in helping customers tackle the complexity inherent in Kubernetes environments through delivering an unmatched understanding of issues and optimisation opportunities across their cloud ecosystem. Our approach, powered by AI and automation, helps teams achieve the scale and efficiency gains that their Kubernetes environments are intended to afford."

Dynatrace's recognition as a Leader in the 2024 GigaOm Radar Report for Kubernetes Observability highlights its effectiveness in providing deep insights into complex cloud environments. By integrating automation and AI, Dynatrace supports enterprises in managing the challenges of Kubernetes environments, helping them optimise performance, resilience, and efficiency.
