Elastic completes acquisition of AIOps company Keep
Elastic, the Search AI company, has announced the completion of its acquisition of Keep, a company specialising in alert management and automated incident response.
Keep provides an open-source AIOps platform for managing and correlating alerts from various monitoring tools.
The integration is intended to enhance Elastic's existing suite of solutions across observability, security, and search by incorporating advanced automation and operational efficiency tools.
"I'm excited to welcome the Keep team to Elastic, merging its world-class open source AIOps and workflow automation capabilities with the speed and scale of Elasticsearch," said Ken Exner, chief product officer at Elastic.
Founded as an open source platform, Keep is known for its ability to unify alerts and automate incident remediation.
Its technology is designed to help users manage complex alerting environments, reduce manual intervention, and improve service reliability. By joining Elastic, Keep's functionality will be positioned within a broader platform that incorporates artificial intelligence, machine learning and large-scale search capabilities.
Exner noted that the acquisition aligns with Elastic's broader goals of integrating artificial intelligence throughout its offerings.
"Keep's AIOps capabilities will complement Elastic's AI/ML and AI Assistant solutions to deliver AI-powered workflow automation across our Observability, Security, and Search solutions," he said.
The acquisition also represents a move by Elastic to deepen its commitment to the open source community while expanding its automation capabilities.
Keep's tools will be added to the company's Search AI Platform, which forms the basis of Elastic's products and services.
Elastic is known for its focus on enabling organisations to search, analyse and act on data from multiple sources in real time. Its customers span a wide range of industries and include over half of the Fortune 500.
The company has stated that any forward-looking plans for the integration of Keep's products are subject to risks and uncertainties. In a disclaimer included with the announcement, Elastic cautioned that actual outcomes may differ from expectations.
"Certain statements herein regarding the acquisition of Keep and the integration of and plans for its products and features are forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties," the company stated.
Elastic highlighted a range of possible factors that could affect these outcomes, including challenges with product integration and changes in market conditions.
It also referred stakeholders to recent filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for a more detailed discussion of associated risks.
While the timing and availability of new features remain at Elastic's discretion, the company expressed confidence in the strategic value of the acquisition. By bringing automation and AIOps more fully into its AI-powered ecosystem, Elastic aims to support users in building more efficient, reliable, and scalable systems.
