Endava accelerates Australian growth with key acquisitions

Wed, 5th Jun 2024

Endava, a prominent technology services provider, has unveiled a new leadership structure and strategy following its acquisition of Australian companies Mudbath and DEK Technologies. This move is set to enhance Endava's capabilities in the region as it positions itself for significant growth driven by the next wave of digital transformation. The newly appointed Managing Director for Australia, Josh Doolan, will spearhead the company's direction and growth in the country.

Since entering the Australian market in 2021, Endava has bolstered its regional presence by integrating Mudbath's engineering expertise and DEK Technologies' hardware solutions into its portfolio. This strategic consolidation aims to leverage regional strengths to deliver tailored digital solutions and foster innovation. "This marks a significant step for us in Australia and the APAC region," stated Doolan. "By integrating Mudbath and DEK Technologies, we are poised for meaningful impact, driving socio-economic progress and industry transformation."

Endava's strategy includes enhancing its capabilities to harness the latest digital technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). The company's focus on modernising core enterprise systems ensures clients can fully leverage these technologies to achieve considerable business advantages. Central to its approach is a customer-centric delivery model, which ensures that digital transformations are tailored to end-user needs while promoting innovation within the team.

Claire Dawson, recently appointed as the APAC Commercial Director, emphasised Endava's commitment to engaging with technology communities across the region. "Our approach not only boosts Endava's global market presence but also reinforces our legacy as a catalyst for positive change and quality delivery. Our acquisitions allow us to offer immense regional expertise, backed by experienced teams," Dawson explained.

With this integration, Endava is poised to expand its footprint within key sectors, including banking, insurance, and financial services. The company also plans to enhance its presence in other industries such as mining, telecommunications, travel, logistics, automotive, and embedded technologies. Endava's notable clients and partners in Australia include Google, Rio Tinto, Commonwealth Bank, Intrepid, and NGM Group.

Drini Mulla, founder of DEK Technologies and now Lead of Embedded Technologies at Endava, noted the increasing demand for sophisticated embedded systems integration, especially in consumer electronics, healthcare, and industrial sectors. "Our capabilities in embedded software development and IoT solutions position us to lead innovation in creating efficient, intelligent devices for our clients," Mulla stated.

To support the integration of Mudbath and DEK Technologies, Endava has consolidated its offices across major Australian cities, including Newcastle, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. This strategic move aims to streamline operations and enhance collaborative efforts among teams.

Endava's expansion in Australia aligns with its global strategy of combining world-class engineering and industry expertise with a people-centric mindset. This approach has seen the company support clients in various sectors, including payments, technology, media, and more, across different regions.
