GMI Cloud secures USD $82M to expand AI infrastructure

GMI Cloud has raised USD $82 million in Series A funding to expand its cloud infrastructure and open a new data centre in the United States.

GMI Cloud, based in Silicon Valley, has confirmed that it has secured USD $15 million in equity funding along with USD $67 million in debt financing. This funding round was led by Headline Asia and included notable strategic investments from Banpu Next and Wistron Corporation.

The injection of capital aims to bolster GMI Cloud's position in the market and fund the development of a new data centre in Colorado. The company's focus is on offering advanced GPU-based solutions, supported by NVIDIA accelerated computing technologies, to meet the increasing demand for AI infrastructure globally.
