Australian startup hub Haymarket HQ has announced a partnership with Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, to bring the Create@Alibaba Cloud global startup contest to Australia and New Zealand.
The collaboration will leverage the support of Haymarket HQ’s co-working space, their network of mentors and investors, as well as Alibaba Cloud’s world-class cloud computing expertise and technology ecosystem.
The winner of the ANZ contest will be invited to the Global Final to be held in Shanghai on October 13, where the participants will pitch in front of prominent global investors, gaining the opportunity to expand their networks beyond ANZ.
Up to US$50,000 credit for cloud product resources is on offer for the ANZ winner.
“We see a growing trend in the ANZ region of startups looking to engage with Asian markets.
“By partnering with Alibaba Cloud, one of the largest cloud providers in the Asia-Pacific region and globally, we are helping startups across the region explore new opportunities,” says Duco van Breemen, Haymarket HQ general manager.
