Global tech firm HCLTech is breaking new ground with the appointment of Sonia Eland as the company’s first female Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand. Eland, previously the Technology Strategy and Transformation Partner at Deloitte, brings over 30 years of technology and consulting experience to her new role at HCLTech.

In her role as Country Manager, Eland will be vested with the responsibility of driving HCLTech's growth strategy in Australia and New Zealand, a market which demonstrates great potential and opportunity. Her role will come into effect from April 1, 2024, reporting directly to Swapan Johri, President, Growth Markets at HCLTech.

Eland’s experience spans a variety of sectors such as consulting, technology, banking, retail and travel. With past roles at international organisations such as DXC Technology, CSC, Fujitsu, Westpac and HSBC, her broad-based experience will undoubtedly imbue richness and depth to HCLTech's operations. She is an alumna of both Macquarie Business School and the University of Sydney.
