Hosted Network strengthens Australian cybersecurity with Sophos partnership
Wed, 20th Dec 2023

Cybersecurity is a growing concern for Australian businesses, and a newly announced partnership is set to address this issue. Australian cloud and telecommunications provider Hosted Network has made a significant move by becoming an official Sophos MSP (Managed Service Provider) distributor. The move consolidates cybersecurity sourcing for businesses and simplifies their operations, resulting in easier access to all Sophos MSP Flex monthly subscriptions via Hosted Network.

The announcement is an extension of an existing relationship between Sophos and Hosted Network. The two initially collaborated on the SecureNetwork firewall solution based on Sophos Firewall. This latest evolution sees Sophos MSP Flex integrated with Hosted Network's rebilling platform, streamlining reconciliation and ensuring accurate customer usage invoicing across the Sophos MSP portfolio.

This partnership delivers end-to-end security solutions for MSPs and their clients. The combination of Sophos' technologies and Hosted Network's expertise aims to provide a robust security service.

Ben Town, the CEO of Hosted Network, explained the company's decision to transition to a fully Managed Service Provider (MSP) distributor, emphasising the trust they have in their community. The move involves leveraging Sophos for various turnkey solutions, including SecureNetwork. Town mentioned that the quick shift to an MSP distributor model directly responds to customer feedback, highlighting the clear advantage for customers in accessing all their cybersecurity-as-a-service needs in one centralised.

Ben Town said, "We trust our community and made the strategic choice to leverage Sophos for many of our turnkey solutions such as SecureNetwork. The quick transition to a full MSP distributor is a direct response to the feedback from customers that being able to access all their cybersecurity-as-a-service needs in one place is a clear advantage for them."

Cameron Reid, MSP Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan at Sophos, acknowledged the rapid evolution of threats in the current digital landscape, making it challenging for businesses to keep pace independently. He expressed optimism, stating that businesses don't have to face this challenge alone.

Moreover, Reid highlighted a new collaboration with Hosted Network, enabling more Australian Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to utilise Sophos MSP Flex. The goal is to empower these MSPs to defend their customers against the constantly evolving and complex nature of digital threats.

Cameron Reid said, "As the threat landscape is moving so quickly, it is impossible for businesses to keep up on their own, and the good news is, they don't have to. This new arrangement with Hosted Network means that more Australian MSPs can leverage Sophos MSP Flex to help defend their customers from constantly evolving threats."

This partnership allows for increased accessibility and ease of use of Sophos' cybersecurity solutions for Australian businesses. The move positions Hosted Network as a significant contributor to the cybersecurity space and anticipates securing more businesses from evolving digital threats. Sophos MSP Flex is now readily available through Hosted Network, marking a new era in cybersecurity in Australia.
