HP launches limited-edition Ferrari AI PC for GBP £5,599

HP has launched a limited-edition Scuderia Ferrari AI PC, created through a design collaboration with Ferrari.

Developed over nearly two years by Ferrari's design studio and HP's industrial design and engineering teams, the notebook will be limited to 4,999 individually numbered and serialised units.

The launch extends the partnership between the technology group and the Formula 1 marque into hardware design. The chassis is finished in Rosso Magma, with styling cues drawn from Ferrari's approach to vehicle aerodynamics and heat management.

The computer includes a carbon fibre-and-glass bottom surface, a full-glass palm rest, and a haptic touchpad boundary that lights up on contact. The cooling system also remains visible, echoing Ferrari's exposed engine bay design.

The machine features a 3K Tandem OLED+ touch display and an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H processor with Intel Arc B390 graphics. HP said the system delivers up to 180 TOPS, a metric commonly used to measure AI processing throughput.

The keyboard includes per-key LED backlighting, four lighting animations, and RGB colour options. Buyers will also receive a Poltrona Frau leather sleeve made from the same Italian leather used in Ferrari car interiors.

Design focus

The product reflects a wider trend in the PC market, where manufacturers are using premium materials, limited production runs, and brand tie-ups to stand out as demand shifts towards higher-priced devices. Its AI branding also places the launch within a broader industry push to refresh personal computers around new processors and software features for on-device AI tasks.

Ferrari Chief Design Officer Flavio Manzoni described the project as an extension of the carmaker's design and manufacturing approach into consumer electronics.

"This notebook is a true reflection of how Ferrari and HP set a cutting-edge manufacturing technology, where advanced material engineering and craftsmanship converge into a unique, uncompromising expression of performance, precision, innovation and refined design," said Flavio Manzoni, Chief Design Officer, Ferrari.

For HP, the release adds a high-priced collector model to its broader PC line-up. The machine is aimed at users who want a device capable of handling AI applications and gaming workloads while also serving as a premium design object.

In a separate statement, Stacy Wolff outlined HP's view of the partnership.

"We are excited to work with Ferrari to create a product that transcends traditional boundaries of PC design," said Stacy Wolff.

"The HP Limited Edition Scuderia Ferrari is a testament to what can be achieved when two industry leaders combine their expertise-delivering an extraordinary user experience that is as capable as it is beautiful. This is HP at its best: built for your best work, in style," Wolff added.

Limited run

The notebook will be sold in the United States for USD $5,599 and will also be offered in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. The pricing places it well above most premium consumer laptops and underlines its positioning as a limited-run product tied as much to Ferrari's brand value as to its computing specifications.

HP said the packaging is designed to raise the device towards the user when opened, reinforcing the emphasis on presentation as well as hardware. It also highlighted more than 2,000 micro-perforations in the glass surface to support airflow into the cooling system.

The final product brings together two brands from very different industries, both using the collaboration to underline their focus on industrial design. With fewer than 5,000 units planned, the machine is likely to appeal as much to collectors and Ferrari enthusiasts as to buyers seeking a top-end Windows notebook.
