Inde Technology has appointed Raja Nouman Ahmed as General Manager Finance, adding to its leadership team as it expands in New Zealand and Australia.

Based in Christchurch, Ahmed brings more than 15 years of experience in financial management, audit, budgeting, compliance, risk management, taxation and business advisory. He has held roles at Deloitte, National Aviation Services, Ghazanfar Group and The City Schools Group, and most recently worked in business advisory at Duns in New Zealand.

The appointment comes as Inde seeks to strengthen financial governance and commercial oversight across its operations. The role will focus on financial controls, reporting and decision-making support as the business grows beyond New Zealand.

Ahmed also serves as Board Treasurer for the New Zealand Antarctic Society. His background spans internal and external audit, as well as advising leadership teams on financial and operational matters.

Role scope

A key part of the finance brief will be maintaining a modern approach through data analytics, automation and real-time financial reporting. The role will also cover group reporting and consolidation processes, alongside financial controls and governance frameworks to support expansion.

Ahmed said Inde's culture was a factor in his decision to join the company.

"I was drawn to Inde because of its strong focus on people, collaboration, and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients. Inde's relationship-driven culture and commitment to continuous improvement strongly align with my own values," said Raja Nouman Ahmed, General Manager Finance, Inde.

He said the role also offered a chance to contribute at a strategic level.

"The General Manager Finance role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute strategically to the company's growth, strengthen financial governance, support data-driven decision-making, and partner with leadership to help achieve Inde's long-term vision," said Ahmed.

Growth plans

Inde has been adding to its leadership team as part of a broader effort to reinforce governance and commercial decision-making. Ahmed's appointment reflects that approach as the business increases its presence across the Tasman.

Chief Executive Officer Dave Veronese said the hire was part of laying the financial foundations for the next stage of development.

"Raja brings a wealth of international finance and governance experience, along with a genuine commitment to strengthening the foundations that support our growth. As Inde continues to expand, strong financial leadership, governance, and commercial insight at the table are critical," said Dave Veronese, Chief Executive Officer, Inde.
